is west tek good as everyone says or is there better spots? - purely for XP idm legendary grinding yet

Westek if you are grinding a location.

You can also get excellent XP at Moonshine Jamboree, Eviction Notice, and Radiation Rumble.

Especially with double xp right now. Pop some lunchboxes and get triple XP or more depending on the buffs you use.

Yep. Make sure you reset it by going outside, not going down the elevator. The elevator method causes all sorts of graphics artifacts and lag for me. Going outside and back in does none of it.

You can reset West Tec going down elevator if you clear the floors & stay down long enough. I do it all the time to get scrap. Only need to leave to unload scrap to my tents scrap bin. West Tec is endless if you do it right. Its a great way to get XP & scrap from the weapon drops.

West Tek still the best spot by far for XP. No where else comes close. Sure is boring though doing nothing but west tek for hours on end. Rad rumble is a good one too but for whatever reason I hardly ever see it come up whenever double XP is on.

Just check the level of the mutants before you do a run. If you are over Lv 100 and you are getting only Lv 50 or 60 muties then it is not worth bothering due to much reduced XP. Server hop until you get Lv 100 ones.

Exiting West tek and going back outside will respawn the muties after a couple minutes. I prefer this to the elevator method due to the horrible graphical glitches when you come back up again.

i threw one nuke grenade that got me 16000ish xp . would have only been 8k if not for double xp weekend. but one freakin grenade. i dunno what all i did but i didnt base my build around xp building, my intellgence is kinda low, i think it was canned stew beef, well rested, well fed, hydrated, being on a team with mutations blah blah but i didnt even eat any brain bombs or sugar bombs or do any huge xp tricks. every single mutant was getting me 1000-1800xp depending on what i was killing them with or what armor i was wearing, but when i started throwing grenades randomly, thats when i gained like 5-6 levels in 20 minutes. so yeah, westtek is worth it. its kinda garbage for getting any decent legendaries though. lots of decent scrap and they seem to drop alot of whatever ammo you used to kill them. get three people on a team with you and pop a lunchbox each and throw out a couple banners. it adds up.

I like nuking the middle of the map and farming the Burrows. I do it more for the flux mats, but you get some good XP and plenty of legendaries in the process.

Still won't compare to West Tek but a nice change if you are tired of killing mutants and want to kill ghouls instead.

I got from rank to 50 to 302 in just 1 day so yeah, pop 4 lunchboxes to get 100% xp and 15 intelligence and your good to go.

As others have mentioned, you can go down the elevator to get those other ~8 supermutants, but whenever I come back up the graphics cache is hosed, and performance drops to single digit frames and objects fail to render.

I've reverted to going outside and back in instead like others.

Wait a minute while outside, and it'll respawn.

Also as others have said, boring AF.

Not a terrible steel/scrap farm either.
