Strangler Heart armor

I finally decided to bite the bullet and start getting bullion together to buy the armor when, lo and behold, Minerva has the full set at her usual discount. So now I have both arms and both legs. If events are kind I should be able to get at least one more piece before she leaves.

Yes.....better then Union..... T-65 + all Overeaters is literally invincible.

Any PA with overeaters will make you invincible, heck you don't even need overeaters if you have stimpacks.

At least Union adds carry weight and poison resistance without legendary effects or perks.

T-65 has high numbers but numbers don't mean much in real play situations.

the biggest issue with Strangler Heart is getting calibrated shocks

Hellcat offers an extra 2% x5 reduction to damage so its pretty potent

Strangler heart is for PvP - offers 10-12 poison damage per hit (doesn't stack with the same 'hit' but multiple hits do stack)

So Stranger with a peppershaker is [16 (pellets) x 2 (ballistic & energy) x 10 (10 rifle poison)] + [16x2x2] (shotgun poison) = 384 damage per shot, but then resistances play a part cutting it by a maximum of 60%... but then anti armour plays in dropping that to a maximum of 20%... so vs players its pretty lethal stack damage

Then their are tricks to apply it several times so that players can eat a bunch of damage

Yeah I own it, it isn't worth it, hellcat or T-65 is a hell of a lot better, Mine is nothing more than a display piece when I decide to pull it out, the AOE poison is a joke

strangler heart was heavily nerfed back in the day

+ it acts broken (but that might be because i never put much energy in to it)
i did have a great session with ricochet and my vamp shredder
where the ricochet activated non-stop resulting in me healing without even spinning my shredder and enemies receiving acid damage from the ricochet

it is worth it if you like to go exotic testing

I bought the full set for kicks and giggles on my main as i had literally nothing to spend my bullion on that interested me. Will mod it and roll some effects and try it out one day, but yeah the nerfs really hit it hard.

i should dust it off
and add tesla coils
maybe with grenadier and unstable isotope/grounded/plague... who knows

but it's def something that will p1ss off a player that has hope for it
