Prices
Hello.
Just wondering if you all could give me some ideas on what you sell your extra stuff for?
I'm looking to start selling my excess chems, fusion cores, healing items, and plans.
Not looking to get rich, just pick up some extra caps and move my extra items at a fair price.
Thanks.

For Chem/Aid items, sell them to vendor bots or sell them at very low price.

Fusion cores/nuke keycards = around 100 caps.

Receipes, around 25 caps.

Plans (common ones) around 100 caps. Some heavy weapons, 250 to 1000 caps.

Those from events/DO, it depend on the disponibility.

I charge cheap prices for chems (10-50 caps), fusion or plasma cores (30-50), disease cures (100 caps), addictol (100 caps), bobbleheads (50), magazines (50), nuka quantum (50), nuka cherry (30). Plans are the only things I charge slightly more. Common plans: 50-100 caps. Rare plans: 300-500 caps. Rare plans are things like vintage water cooler, all the Nuka-World randomly dropped plans, the Holiday Gift rare plans, the Mole Miner Pail rare plans, etc.

If you visit other players' camps you may see ridiculous pricing, like 10000 caps for rare stuff. Those people usually have a racket going on in trade forums and such, and they service only among themselves while keeping everyone else out with ridiculous prices.

the standard is sell stuff between 10% to 25% base value, depending on how rare it is, exceptions are stuff like plans or outfits exclusive to events, which can go as high as you can since they are unobtainable (for the time being), this also applies to super rare stuff like plans for The Fixer

I sell stuff I find for the 1-1 sale it tells me in the store. I sell permanent event stuff starting from 500-1K caps. Stuff from treasure hunters for maybe 5K and rotationary events for 5K or sometimes higher depending on whether it's popular. The 5K things are only for items gotten from events that pop up maybe once or twice per year. So those plans would be very rare.

You can make 1.4K caps per day just by selling junk and more doing events and selling your own things. So selling items for 1-5K is perfectly fine. Sure it's not for people that just stumbled out of the vault, but that's fine. People should have something to look forward to, not get everything thrown in their lap on day 1 as some people seem to think is the best way to play the game. Princesses.

Earning caps by selling stuff is not terribly hard. What's hard is buying stuff, and finding things to buy that you need. You can only have 40k caps max, and that forces you to buy things sometimes. But as you play on, as you've got more and more stuff, you may find it harder and harder to find things to buy, not surprisingly. For instance, I'm almost level 400 and I've bought every single plan and recipe from the Whitespring vendors. There is no easy place to go to to clear my caps cap.

Default for most stuff, honestly.

I sell all my plans and recipes for 9 caps. If I can't use them myself, I might as well help someone else out.

A good base to sell legendary
Hope it makes sense, was a bit of a pain to copy from my notes.

Script Rates (one Script gets 20 caps)
Armor:
* = 3/ 60
** = 9/180
***=24/480

Weapon:
* = 5/100
** =15/300
***=40/800

PowerArmor:
* =10/200
** =20/400
***=45/900

(This is for crap Legendaries (Legendaries no one will buy, other than scripting out)

Its all about how a true market works, stock-demand, just you know what are the prizes and adjust your prize following your rules: rarity, stock you have, number of caps you have at the moment, etc.

Another thing, dont believe the guys saying about selling rare things cheap, is a scam, rare things have low drop (less than 5%), or only dropping from certain events (available from very limited time, around a week or less, and 2 or 3 times per year), translating to the market: Stock are very limited and demand will grow, so if you put it cheap you are losing caps, (100% you will sell it) and remember 2 things: you are a merchant (player who wants profits from items you want to sell) and second, your time of farming is not cheap so, you are not a NGO to save children or leave a better place to live.

PS: Im not talking to be greedy, but there are not a fair price, why? because you value your time and another player value it different, so, the best tip i have, let the dreamers, dream, a peasant will never sell his lettuces at the same price as city markets, all have a demand and you have a stock, so if no stock all prices will rise up, and the opposite too.

NOBODY is getting rich or making "profits" because you can only have 40k caps max. I sell things cheap and I *constantly* have 40k caps. If I don't sell anything, I STILL have 40k caps constantly. But if your stash weight is so high that it affects your enjoyment of the game, then all that caps you can earn are useless. I sell mainly to alleviate my stash weight (and benefiting other players is my secondary objective). I just saw a player selling tons of expensive heavy weapons that were just weighing down his stash and I was like, what was he ON? You get rare items ALL THE TIME because so many things in the game reward rare items. This is a game, we're playing A GAME. Real-world economy doesn't really apply here, such as the fact that the real world doesn't put a $40k cap on your net worth, LOL.

Camp vendoring is a car boot/flea market/yard sale/garage sale simulator.

There is no central market and there is little to no competition. It's all point of sale negotiation.

Looks like I have the cheapest prices of anyone here. Plans and recipes I sell for 15 caps, weapons are 200 and armor is 120.
Stimpacks, Radaway, RadX, etc = 1 cap
Basic plans, Weapon mods, etc = 0 caps to 10 caps
Ammo = 1 cap
Serums = 250 to 325 caps
Basic outfits = 1 to 10 caps
Meh Legendary drops = 5 to 400 caps.
Bobbleheads = 25 caps
Berry Mentats = 100 caps
Fusion/Plasma cores or anything that common and heavy = dropped into the train station suitcases as freebies.

I sometimes put rareish items on sale, but not often since I struggle with keeping below 40k caps.

Anything rare = Not typically sold for caps.

With those prices I can easily make 20k caps in sales a day.

yieks,
plenty of players sell random plans for less, me at 1-10 bc, Bed of Nails 200, Globe of Mars 60 etc. ..
Non legendary Armor + Guns (Tesla, Handmade etc. for scrapping) 10-20bc
Useable legendaries Guns (AA, Blodied, Furious...) start at 380 for a 1 star, 1200 for 3 stars
Legendary Armor: I only sell unyielding, entry level 80-240 bc.

Mostly aimed towards new players, I don't put up expensive items because it exceeds the 40K to fast ;)
