Launching nukes?
Is there some other way than using the Enclaive bunker to find code fragments? I sometimes find them by accedent but that doesn't do much good.

if you have access to the internet you can find them online, i.e. nukacrypt

Again, there are plenty of videos about "launching a nuke" ... !!!

Without the codes from Nukacrypt, it's a long and hard process ... ! But if you love puzzles, then go try it for one time.

A reminder: always have on you 2 nuke keycards, in case when in silo ... .

Just run thru whichever silo you want or that is active And match the code to the silo (it's simple).

Now I don't have to post the link.

If you continue to want to solve them then no you will still have to find the fragments, this process was not meant to be easy.

I was talking about in game, not using some website cheat.

lol, literaly everyone does.

so for your question: no

I just wonder how long you will try before you use a "website cheat" anyway :)

I know there are people who have manually decoded the launch codes.

It requires getting all 8 code pieces. Usually one at a time for the specific silo.

Taking those pieces and doing some out of game calculations and work to compare those pieces with the words that slowly appear on the wall in the bunker over the course of the week.

And that gives you launch codes.

Don’t ask me exactly how you do the middle part. I have launched hundreds of nukes in game and never once done the process myself to get the codes.

I’m all for having difficult content in the game. I loved Dimas puzzles in FO4. But I should not have to resort to pencil and paper and an hour or more of manual time out of the game coming up with possible launch codes.

Ok, so the developers knew they were creating a system everyone would cheat at? Yeah, that seems par for '76.

https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/9ygyy9/stepbystep_guide_to_decrypting_launch_codes/

Explains how to do it manually. If you really want to know.

There are hints in the game a bit on how to do it. But nothing that outright gives you the steps like the link. You’re supposed to google all sorts of decryption techniques.

Thing is, if we had to manually do it ourselves each week, there would maybe be 1% of the nukes launched and they would all be at the end of the week.

In my opinion, there should be a terminal somewhere in game where we put in the code pieces, and parts of the words that we have so far, and it gives us possible launch codes.

In my opinion they should rework the silo mission, at last the keycard part or just remove the code system. I thinks no one tryed to use the manual way xD

Whether it's a cheat or not depends on the person. It's easy enough to decode the sequence, but it really is a waste of time tracking down all the pieces.

People that work for a living usually don't want to waste their time doing unnecessary crap like that.

Often say to myself: "imagine if there was no NukaCrypt..."
Makes me sad just thinking about it.
One nuke per week, or even per month.
Oh god, no way.

They should add a mechanic on a terminal somewhere so you collect the code pieces, add them and the letters that show in the boards and they give you possible codes. Keep your progress during the week and as you put more data in the terminal it narrows down the possible codes.

Every now and then I tell myself that I should do the process manually, then I pull up that Reddit post and say um no way.

Should add a master command bunker. Once you find it and clear it you can launch once a week or month or some other time increment that keeps the whole map from turning orange all the time.

That's why the quest should really change. Nukacrypt could, if they wanted to, hold the game to ransom.

Issue is BGS Austin aren't really quest designers and are really hesitant to alter existing content preferring to remove things that need fixing (The War that never Was, Mischief Night, Crater being Crater and not the Palace of the Winding Path etc.).
Nedrod Feb 3, 2023 @ 1:30pm
you all seam to shoot nuka strikes :)
i have a question about it :)
most times the nuke strikes are at the same time of other public events
is there a reason why its always at the same time and not between the events?
or is it maybe difficult to time between the events?
