Look in your build menus for anything that has a theme. For example if you have a lot of Red Rocket stuff you can build a petrol (gas) station or diner.
Plan a theme around your allies. Having something that the allies will naturally inhabit makes the whole thing feel more realistic. For example Daphne has a toy box so could fit in a toy or comic shop.
Once you have an idea look at real world buildings, especially from WV. Think how it could be recreated or inspired to fit the build limitations of the game. Then you find a spot on the map that would fit (shops near roads etc.) and get building.
Taking time to figure out the quirks of the build system can be as relaxing as it is frustrating but in the end it is yours to display proudly to the world.
I don't mess with merging but one trick for doing interior walls (if you want to have separate rooms with different wallpapers) is to place the door version of the wall as it will let you place them back to back where a normal wall will only let you place one (hope this one makes sense as i'm hangry at the moment).
Once you place the doors you can go back and replace them with a wall and boom, you can have a wallpaper on both sides of the wall instead of having a wallpaper on one side. Just keep in mind it will use more resources and CAMP budget but I think it makes a huge difference.
If you don't have a whole lot of stuff to decorate with try building smaller as it will not make it look as empty.
Don't feel like you have to use every square inch of your CAMP space as if you build too many structures, you will not have any budget left for decorations etc. Doing this will also leave you space for upgrading or changing stuff around once you get more stuff to bling out your base.
One thing I like to do is take screenshots of other bases that I come across. There are some really creative people out there that always amaze me and inspire me in my own creations.
I made a cafe which says "Gimme da ♥♥♥♥♥" in neon letters outside...
Is that immersive enough ? XD
I think my base is nice though , most of it
Please don't.
"Thank a man for doing his job enough times it'll go to his head." (Can't remember or find the quote source, was a movie I think).
Not that's this is a job, just bored and have a lot of time in the day. Don't like it when it does become a 'job' instead of for fun.
OH, but you have so much wisdom Obi-Wan. :)
OK, I won't do it anymore, maybe.
two full modded Gauss fiffles. first ignoring 50% armour - DMG 295, for heavy armored enemies, seccond with extra bullet - DMG 404 - not armored . Full percepcion, int, agility. I working on Gauss minigun as a close combat weapon but for get it i need ful bandits reputation. Best build and eq fos SNP ist a Gauss + stealth armour and optionaly secret service armour + Gauss minigun.
If you want to experiment with some ideas, but don't want to burn through your collected resources, claim a workshop and test out your ideas using the free workshop resources. I've found Tyler County Dirt Track to be a good spot for this. Fairly easy location and a lot of flat area.
i know some builders that only play this game for the building pleasure
i'll let them know
if they don't answer i'll punish them by placing my abominations (post-modernism btw ) in their neighborhood
