Worth it selling medical items?
Ive seen some people complaining that no one sells drugs at their camp, but so far, selling items at nearly the price I could sell them to NPCs, no one is buying them. Are aid items worth it and if so, which ones?

Stimpacks and Radaway along with other common drops are not exactly what I buy as they are useless to me, Mentats, certain foods, Serums and others should sell out more quickly; If you set the price low enough.

Berry Mentats.

Mutation Serums if you can keep your price at or under 250 caps each.

Stimpaks at under 25 caps each.

Grape Mentats.

Overdrive.

Psychobuff

thanks for the info, I was wondering what I should price up certain things. Being new to Fallout 76 w.r.t. having the vendor machine installed in my camp, I was unsure as to how I should price things. I have just started to make notes on how much NPC's and robot vendors sell their items so that I can put my reasonably lower.

Tough to sell stuff that commonly drops.

500 seems fine too for the serums, anything higher and no one buys.

Plans are also a good seller too, for normal easy to find plans I sell for around 1-25 caps; events are 50-250, and other rare ones vary.

I have my meds listed at 9 caps each for everything and very rarely sell them.

Have so many at this point i'm starting to just drop them at the Rusty Pick to free up stash space and or sell them at a vendor.

Plans for meds on the other hand seem to sell as soon as I throw them in my vendor.

Well I will guarantee you that if I come across your base and I see you selling Bobblehead: Sneak or calmex, your supply will be bought out so there's that

About medical items or anything you want to sell:

Stop a moment and think if you have anything who can generate an interest if someone comes to your vendor, thats it, if you have crap or the same as the other vendors you previously checked, then, whats the difference from your stuff than the others? noone you as the others are selling garbage.

So, if you want to sell different items, first, check the prizes, there is a fallout76 unofficial market, dont need to ask or make an account, just check the prizes to have a REFERENCE (this is very important), when you have it, ADJUST your item prizes depending the category (common, uncommon, rare, very rare, impossible etc) take in mind the prizes in other vendor machines (just check them from time to time), your capacity to farm the items, (if you have low stock the prize will be high... basic rule of the market) etc.

PS: Never, and i repeat, NEVER, put in the seller machine something worth more than 15k caps, because you'll never know when a whale will come to your machine and you are near the max caps, so you lose caps.

thats why you place one stupid item at max caps to deter them.

You know nothing about the seller machine bug who appears from time to time when bethesda launches a big patch no? dont worry, when you will suffer it and your precious belongings fly away, you will do it too.

I have no precious items in my stash, not even weapons; they can be replaced.

Plus i'm looking to sell them anyway.

OP, I know your thread is about Aid items but, if you have room in your Stash for them, I suggest thinking about selling Bulk Junk.

Adhesive
Copper
Springs
Oil.

Plus, and theses can't be bulked up;

Raw Asbestos
Ballistic Fiber
Screws

If you price them just a little under what the Base price is listed as their value, You'll sell all you place in your machine.

Steel at 1 cap each or Bulk Steel at 30 caps each also sells well.

If you need a steady source of caps, that will help you alot.

The only "drugs" I still sell are serums, but truth be told, it's not really worth the effort anymore, I think I still do it, just to give the option for any mutation to new players.
Stimpaks aren't worth crafting or diluting, they are a dime a dozen now, Rad-x is the same as stimpaks. As far as the drugs for a junkie build, there just aren't enough junkie builds to cater to.
Vic Evicerator Jan 26, 2023 @ 11:26am
Serums and the specialized drugs (not basic Mentats, but Grape, Orange, Berry, etc.) are the only ones who have marketability to non-starting players.

If you have a n00b-friendly vendor camp near Flatwoods, though, the low-level players will buy up every Stimpak and Rad-X/RadAway you put in your vendor. Maybe not at NPC-vendor prices, but think of it more as a warm-fuzzy/public service for new players.
