Ultracite Calibrated shocks and emergency protocols

I have spares of emergency protocols but only got one ever of calibrated shocks that a friend bought for me from a player vendor.

I can sell you emergency protocols. Or as an alternative mod them both onto your PA for you. For regular Ultracite PA anyway, strangler heart it won't work as you cannot drop the pieces without destroying them.

Which would make sense if Ultracite was a more competitive PA or had some kind of built in bonus like the newer hellcat and union PA sets. I mean i use ultracite PA and it is fine but feels bad that these plans are sooo hard to get yet the PA is just ok.

If someone wants calibrated shocks for their ultracite legs they could have another player install them.

If they want them for strangler legs then they need the recipe since strangler is not tradable.

Ultracite shocks are one of the rarest drops from the queen, and easily hit 45k on reddit/discord. You're better off having someone build them for you, most will do it cheaply if not for free.

This would make sense if it was actually an end game PA set but it isn't. Don't get me wrong, I use it as i recently upgraded from a Raider PA set with good legendary effects. It is ok and does fine, but it feels bad that it isn't better considering how hard it is to get certain mod plans for it.

I get that, but why not relax the drop rates a bit for the mod plans then? Keeping them to be so rare as to be some of the rarest drops in the game is just silly when we now have T-65, Hellcat and Union PA sets.

Doesn't Whitesprings bunker have these? not the station where you get scout armour mods one of the others near robotics.

No. You are thinking of the mods for X-01 power armour.

These Ultracite mods only drop from the SBQ event and are some of the rarest plans in the game.

They should have. Really should have. And yet they haven't.

Truly stupid thing is we get free plans for the full armor, and yet the armor pieces are some of the heaviest rotation for the queens drops.

Well original it was the only way to get the plans. Then after one of the early updates they added them to the computer in the BoS office.

The drop rate for them should have been relaxed the moment they got used in strangler armor. With Ultracite power armor being tradable you could get by just knowing someone who could put them in.

We all want matchy-match skins and tanky-tank builds but I found them not that necessary since, once i was dialed-in to the point where i actually started hunting for such a thing, it seems only rarest of mobs (e.g. certain decryption combos, colossus) can kill me anyway, even with T-45 legs. (Oh u want to PvP? .. can't help u there.)

I read they can drop from normal SBs as well. Can not confirm, sadly.
