Screws?
Is it only me, or balans on the screws is... screwed?
I mean you need them to do nearly anything. Create weapons, armor, fix stuff, but it's nearly impossible to get them! Those few things you can get them from like Toy Cars, Typewriters or Desk Fans are very rarely to be found comparing to the screw demand.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but there is nowhere you can buy them? At least I've never found trader that had them in stock.
It's starting to be super annoying, do you have maybe some tips and tricks on how to obtain more screws in some easier way?
I recently have been going around and scavenging whatever I was able to find to collect 60 screws to build Excavator power armor and I havn't manage to find half of in and I have to use all of them to fix my armor that was damaged during.
There must be something I'm missing?

Some vendors do sell bulk screws, but you have to find them, and server hop if necessary.

Hunting for scrap items with screws can be good if you're diligent (also look at kid's toys - I think the toy trucks and toy cars have them), but the real yield is killing wendigos. Finding them in the wild can be tricky, but if you have the power to join in A Colossal Problem event when it pops up you can be swimming in screws in no time - it spawns a ton of wendigos, and as long as you tag them you can pick them all up when the event is over.

I'm breaking everything down, but I'm not I've seen screw coming from the gun, nor clipboard... It's desk fan, toy cars, globus, some fuel cans..

Wendigo colossus. Each wendigo he summons drops screws.

Am I the only one who sees the bottleneck in springs? Its the rarest ressource to repair and craft heavy guns.

Also I've tried to "mark" screws, but I have everything else available to put little "search magnifier" on, but not screws!
Maybe my Fallout copy have some no-screws-for-you bug? :D

screws and springs were the worst early on

Earle is the win for screws

Aside from wendigos, your best bets would be buy them from vendors, or raid areas with lots of fans (ex. sugar grove / whitesprings underground enclave bunker)

got infinite improved repair kits from SBQ and 100,000 - 3,000,000 of all junk (flux up) in the scrapbox from free fo1st weekends & discord trading

No, I've never seen it like this. Broken clipboards are laying literally everywhere and each is giving you a spring. Also all of the Giddyup parts, Kitchen scales, pocket watches and clocks, toasters... From my perspective they are literally everywhere comapring to screws. Also available in most of the merchant stores, unlike screws...

It's so weird cause when I think of stuff laying around in my house, I'm not sure what can have springs, but I'm pretty sure nearly everthing have screws! I shouldn't be this hard to find them ;)

Clipboard is a lie, but most of the rest are correct.

Don't use the magnifying glass. Memorize them. Actually spend time learning what scraps into the junk you need. What locations spawn with what junk. You'll find that what you need isn't actually rare at all.

Can't find a toy car, desk fan, or Typewriter? Not surprised.

How many Hotplates did you pass while looking for those. How bout Tongs? Pepper Mills? Globes?

You'd be amazed how many screws you pass on the way to locations you think have a bunch of Typewriters and Desk Fans. Hotplates are basically everywhere. Pepper Mills are in most kitchen and dining areas. Tongs are in kitchens and garage-type areas. Globes show up in offices and residential homes.
