How can I learn mods for Auto-Axe?

I got it from the season rewards but can't seem to find any way to learn it's mods. and saw some people have flame mod on it.

Is the only way to learn is to craft lots of it and keep scrapping?

You can't learn those mods by scrapping. Mods have to be bought with Stamps from Guissepe. He is located next to Bubbles in the Refuge. You get stamps by participating in Expeditions.

No, you have to use stamps to buy the mods from Giuseppe in the Whitesprings

I think they can sometimes drop doing the Pitt Expeditions. I think that's how I got the union armor and the auto axe plan and one mod.

That is correct, you get one random, unknown stamp plan per week with a 100% successful Expo.

Rumor has it that one does not get the Auto-Axe or Union Armor base plans that way.

Yes, you can get one plan Giuseppe sells a week from expeditions

i never took part in that area of the time, so i don't even know the auto axe but would love to..

Did you get past 20 on the previous scoreboard? You should be able to craft it.
