Now you also get an ammo box with the subscription.
The sooner you recognize that it's all infinitely respawning garbage, the faster you no longer need to "manage" your stash and inventory.
So when you first started you horeded everything and might of even wanted to have ever or nearly ever type of weapon in the game you had fun hording away everything you saw to take and now your having a bad time now that it has bite you in the ass.
Well am sorry to tell you but this isn't like fallout 4 you can't hord everything let alone use every type of gear ever in the game. You need to be more careful and use a basic adding and subtracting math to make the most out of that storage box.
As for going out in the world and maxing out, again just take what you need and no more then that also say to yourself, no i shall not take that to stop yourself from well taking things you perhaps don't need for a little while.
Look in your box find what your not gonna use a lot and sell it or dump it or half the amount etc. If you really want to go about hording away then fallout 4 is your game even more so there is mod i know out there for 4 that makes it so there is no limit and you can really hord away but you can't just pick everything you see in this.
The storage limit used to be small back in the day 400 now the storage box is at 1200 that is more then enough. My box always hangs around 800-1090 of space so i always if needed got 210 at least if i so need it goes to show how much you can shrink down in that storage box limit if you take the time to keep it nice and clean just like (hopeful) your own room.
Hey if folks truly think the current inventory limit is just fine (without premium account) and I'm the outlier, so be it. Just not my cup of tea. My personal preference would be to allow us to craft more storage (like other survival/MMO games).
Yeah it can feel like that will admit brings me borderlands game vibes with sorting but once you have sorted it's great, no longer have to sit there sorting and can play around. I have never once bought into fallout 1st of all my 3 years playing and like i said i have plenty of space lot of the time and well have like 20000 ammo if needed overall am set.
fallout 1st is totally optional as i and few other people i've read have proven you can totaly play without paying more money on top.
As for the craft more storage Umm your kinda wrong on that sure the storage you cannot but your on person weight you can be increase in quite few ways.
There is
1. the crafting backpack that also has mods to reduce stuff i went for the chem one so all my chem stuff is so much lighter can't recall how much i drop but i think my weight in chems did drop like 52 in more space.
2. got the mutation that has the space jump that also has + carry weight at a cost of if i recall rightly INT stat.
3. you got the temp boast food ragstags and brahmin cooking food best place to farm in fact is the nooby town flatwoods as there are plenty of spots for gathering all that food.
4. you got ammor mods even power amour that is great for times you want to do a bit of hording away.
5. lunchboxes a chance of gift bag what does carry weight also a temp boast but last longer then ragstag/brahmin food.
so yes got a few ways (will admit the only one that isn't technaily craftable is the lunchbox but everything else in that list can be crafted away to help with that)
I carry two power armors set, 5 heavy weapons and an auto-axe, 40K bullets, 80-100 varied stimpacks and way too many grenades, that leaves me at around 270 weight on 370 (that I can up to 470 by swapping power armors) . Plenty of space left on my character, and my stash sits at 950 / 1200 . And of course, you really never need to carry as much as I do, you could do a much more lightweight character.
I do use weight reducing legendary effects on most pieces of armor and mutations but only a couple of weight reducing card perks. And never used 1st obviously.
Make deep cuts in your overloaded stash, if you have 400 of something, reduce it to 100 whatever it is. If you managed to hoard 400 you'll be able to do it again if you ever need it.
This is really the main and best advice here, take your junk tab in your stash, take everything that you have more than 150 pieces of, and reduce it to 100. Sell or ditch the rest. That has taken less than 5 minutes of your time and freed a huge part of your inventory.
Don't keep hundreds of weapons you'll never use or scrip. You'll find more legendaries than you can scrip each day. Most of your advanced weapons will be built from scrips anyway, so you can turn a non legendary into a god rolled one. Same thing with armors.
The only reason to store legendaries is to scrip those later after the daily reset. Or eventually to sell those in your camp.
It is always a bit difficult to just abandon on the ground 600 steel, thousands of bullets, 150 chems etc , but you'll get used to it and you'll be amazed at the speed you will reoverload your stash ;)
