Apparently for the next two weeks we have holiday scorched. Do you get something special from them or are they ordinary scorched?

They all carry a junk legendary, and gifts, open the gifts for goodies. Including some plans that only drop from this event.

If yes, then no they have nothing special for you they are just meh

if you don't have their plans then you get a few old plans from them

Also a mediocre source of legendary equipment, ammo, caps and script

Yep you get stuff from the gifts they drop on kill. Just like the Halloween with the candy bags there are plans and such but also like the candy bags you do get quite bit of ammo to what ever weapon you've got equipped in your hand when you open them up and kinda bunch of junk and stimpacks etc you can get out of them too.


I don't recall the full list but quick google should find the reward list easy enough. One item i remember out of it is the winter ice lights plan

Basically what happens is that during two weeks there will be a chance for scorched on open areas to be in an unique christmas outfit among other regular scorched.

Take in mind that holiday scorched variants will NOT be inside loading areas like the mire's mall or inside the responder airport. On the other hand they will spawn outside the responder airport (since it's in the outside area). They will also not spawn in scorched daily ops.

Certain events and areas outside that spawn scorched like the event that trigger near the responder airport (the one that rewards you with a cargobot drop) will have chances to have holiday scorched.

Best location to look for holiday scorched : near Rose's area, the wally water park in the toxic valley, boston airport (outside) and sometimes near scorchbeast fissure areas.

What you get from holiday scorched : A guaranted legendary weapon and a present (from small to large), these presents contain rare plans and presents can reward you with caps, scripts and consumables, there are guides that shows the loot table from each presents.

Kind of depressing compared to the halloween ones. After five hours I'd gotten barely any plans and that was on a private server, with santatrons working in several workshops too.
You do get some scrip (not sure how much, really, since it doesn't show when you open a gift) and some ammo, but it's slow work and not terribly interesting.

Yeah the drop rates are rubbish on plans. Guess in 2022 they were feeling too grinchy about Christmas to give us loots.

3 of the first 6 scorched I saw were Holiday. It's all RNG. Any Scorched spawn in the world can spawn as a Holiday scorched, so any location with multiple scorched spawns is more likely to have them show up. Morgantown Airport, The water park, Top of the World, Mosstown, fissures, and any events that spawn scorched out in the world.

According to online info, killing a festive scorched yields a 10% chance to loot a large holiday gift, 30% chance for a medium, and 60% chance for a small.

Small Holiday Gift - 5% chance to get rare plans, 1% chance for rare texidermy plans (mounted animal heads).
Medium Holiday Gift - 20% and 2%.
Large Holiday Gift - 40% and 5%.

At train stations you can buy "gift wraps" (cost hundreds to thousands of caps) to craft "handmade holiday gift" at a tinker station.

Small handmade gift - 10% and 1%.
Medium handmade gift - 40% and 5%.
Large handmade gift - 60% and 7%.

yeah, I made four large handmade gifts and got a single plan. Maybe I got unlucky, but that quickly gets way too expensive.

You'd think this would be the same as ... treasure hunter? event. The one with the legendary mole miners, but I don't remember that one dropping so few plans (though, I don't think buying the whateveritwas giftwrap equivalent was worth it for that event either, but then, it also wasn't necessary).

Just not worth it i rather run west tek the whole day gives me better results why are they hiding the good plans so hard really it takes away the reason to play . Dont get me wrong i like to play the game but some things are just as they are ........ i did search today but found no chimes scorched ? got it delayed they said it starts the 20th? or did i miss something? on Pc priv servers i found no chimes yet.
