Yes his on person weight is maxed and i will admit watching it a 2nd time due to op doing it little fast didn't realise it even had the destroyed pop up message, what i don't think is meant to happen, i've never had the UI display [max] so idk what that's like.
No this is how the inventory max works, he's over 8000 weight. He is screwed unless he has a bunch of weight reduction perks he can equip.

He has to destroy stuff by dropping it (it'll all be destroyed) until he gets to a normal weight under inventory max limit.

So your telling me, the scrap and ammo box that has no value of weight, that if you get [max] on your person weight makes it so your just not allowed to use it even tho those boxes are meant to have no value of weight so what ever!?

If so well that really, really, really sucks and is utter stupid for the 1st subscription to made difficult to even use unless you do what you said.

It's your inventory max that's been reached, means you can't trade anything. You're going to need to drop things until you reach whatever inventory limit is these days (can't remember amount).

Nah cording to another post i read, its just a bug of trying to add big stack of ammo. Do shorter amounts of it like perhaps 500 or 1000 see what works and in 5 mins you can bet all of that went into your ammo box.

No you can see his inventory is at max, and when he tried to drop ammo it said it couldn't be dropped and would be destroyed.

Inventory max.

But anyways surely OP should still be allowed to put his ammo into the box regardless if their on person weight is high. the Ammo box for 1st is meant to be like a wormhole lol endless storage just like the junk box.

Seems like the guy removed the "Ordenance Express" perk to exceed the weight limit and cause this situation to have a clickbait video.

usualy at around 1500-1600 pound the player can't pick up any items or produce new items.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Imagine our surprise when they first introduced this inventory weight limit, most of us had been using low level alts as mules and they were well over this stupid limit.

Lost a ton of perfectly good rubbish that day

Yeah it could be a clickbait attempt, OP doesn't seem to be responding and you'd think he would've by now if this inventory limit was news to him.

:steamfacepalm: ahh betheda at its finest i suppose. luckly i will never have this problem but now i feel sad for all those like OP who get to max to find out what their paying for can't be used at all till they remove stuff.

nope, the video is missleading and the guy is simply lying.

Just tested it with my mule: Ammo-Box work normal with an inventory weight of 1250.
By moving perk-cards I increased the inventory weight to 2527 and the ammo box won't work, but the same is true for continers like the blue suitcase and cigarette-machine.

(and if someone wonders how much a mule can carry without bonuses: that would be over 10000 :)

Video is misleading as it is not the ammo box with the issue it is a long standing game mechanic due to your character being so massively over weight preventing you from transferring items from your inventory. Not a bug with the ammo box at all.

I can confirm as i have been in this situation myself before after trading. Also had it when my perk cards for ammo weight all un-equipped after a new update. Not 8000+ weight like in the vid but well over 1900 and it said my character was maxed. Because the weight on my person was so high i could not do anything until i dropped the weight back below the threshold. This is why they cannot add ammo to the ammo box in the vid.

Max weight is 1500 plus your carry weight. So if your carry weight is 360 then your character max limit is 1860. Go beyond this and anything you try to drop will be destroyed and you cannot transfer anything.

I have been putting in huge stacks of 20k and 30k for many different ammo types on several characters with no issues. So that clearly is not true. Maybe some were experiencing that but i have not seen it.

Inventory cap is real, and understood by apparently everyone but the OP.

Just the other day, we did a 30 minute queen in a private server. Take all maxed my weight out at 1800. At which point I was incapable of picking anything else up. But I was able to scrap weapons and drop my weight down and then drop stuff to put into the scrap box.

As a side note. Do not drop large quantities of ammo of junk on the ground to swap them between players or mules. Even though it shows the weight of the stack is impacted by your perks, it won’t let you pick it up because it would be too heavy in its un perk reduced state and the entire stack is lost forever.

Guy I know has messed up and lost large quantities of ammo and flux forgetting that rule. Theoretically if you drop it in a suitcase it works.

I know about that first hand too. Few months back I dropped 43k ultracite 2mm EC gauss ammo on the ground to transfer to another character for gauss minigun. At the last second i remembered to not drop it in one whole lot but it was too late. As you say because its real weight is more than my characters max it would not let me pick it up. Even though i was carrying it moments before just fine with the batteries not included perk it did not matter.

Should of put it in a suitcase and done it in smaller lots to be safe. Oh well. Live and learn.
