Battle Bot bugged

the event battle bot is bugged. I can get the keycards, but then the keypads wont work for some reason and I have to leave the game and come back

Battle Bot can be completed by hitting either keypad, then sprinting and hitting the opposite, running inside and then hitting the red button. I do it at least 4-5 times when i play. Never had it bug, you just have to do it fast. Also sometimes it won't prompt you that you've hit the first one.(This is after getting the cards if you don't already have them, ive never lost the cards, also been doing this for like a year) Hope any of this helped.

This user's advice was the same as mine. Is this an ongoing issue with your attempts, or just a one time? What you are describing makes up the 5% that I cannot complete the quest. Interesting that for him it completes without fail, for you it always fails, and for me it's hit or miss.

Known issue, should be addressed in the next patch (maybe even as soon as 25th).

From PTS patch notes:

-Battle Bots: Addressed an issue where Alpha and Beta Keycards may not register in card readers.

Gotta love the wonders of spaghetti code! And yea i've -never- had issues with that mission. Seriously and I run mods. (chat mod and such) Sorry you're still having the problem. I mean a good old reinstall sometimes fixes things, but i can understand that being a pain.

Most of times its also bugged for me.. Ow well. Learn to ignore it, as far as I can tell, nothing special or rares drops from the event anyway.

It is one of the few places to get plasma grenade plans.

You do not have to run inside (there is no short timeout for that). Interesting thought that the problem may only be the lack of the visual text change when the button is pressed. I will check that...

I mean the door sometimes closes if you wait too long (maybe it was a bug like some doors are closed and actually open), but either way it takes about 15 seconds to do all three buttons. And sorry for the guys who have the bug for this. And it does drop decent plans, the plasma grenade like Mooman said as example, also some plans for the laser rifle if i remember right.

Guys still having issues?

I have never had the door close unless the event runs out of time. If the event isn't active, the door is always closed from my experience. Another mystery... :)
