So here I am minding my own business building a nice little cabin over a small pond. [On the cliffs near the monorail elevator]. So I was out of screws for my tinkering so I went up to explore the hill and hit another radio relay tower.

What is this on the cliffs above me? It kinda looks like a playermade base.. Hmm..

Upon further inspection it was the most well-done player camp I have ever seen. They had EVERYTHING. It was built with the glass walls I am seeing in screenshots [but could not find the store]

Just very tastefully done, integrated well into the cliffside, no "floating structures" or other nonsense. All the colors worked together and they had comfy little areas like a real mansion would have - all tasteful and modern.

Then I find in their rumpus room a vault entrance.. And ZOMG it was the most well done thing I have seen! Inside was a door to the atrium vault... and in there was a back door to a private salon, then when coming out I found.... A MINIATURE LITTLE TOWN IN A MISSILE SILO BELOW.

I thought my creations were pretty great. This person was named t.34.qt or something like that and they made me feel like I was building hovels.

I agree, many hide their camps from the map for some reason. The many I did come upon were really outstanding and also made my camp .. well I'd rather not say lol. They had to have this game from the beginning and acquired so much to show. Kudo's to them.

Yeah, some people can make amazing things in build-mode. I'm in a FB group that is dedicated to CAMP builds and people routinely post the best things. Strangely, more than half of the group posters there are on consoles.

Some people make amaizing camps. You can stack shelters which means you can create a multi level shelter. Pretteh cool.

I shove a few work benches & selling kiosk in a pre-fab Red Rocket and do most of my building in my Shelter.

People hideing they places are doing it cause of these reasons

1. they perfer to be a sole gamer aka they never really wanted the next fallout game to be online only but they played it anyways and tried they best to be as sole as they can be from any one else.

2. the old or even the exploit that was like 4-7 weeks ago of players stealing other peoples stuff by using the shop and power armor stations could of forced them to turn it off to hide and try to avoid these bad exploits that pop up every now and then.

3. the old player do not realise the camp ui has been upgraded since they last played i've seen my fair share of unmarked camps and i have to say most of the time i've ran into places that have 3 or more shop vendors and even the white labeled you know guns ammo meds put on them what shows this player is old as we all should know you no longer need to build all these other vendors anymore to sell more stuff as well as put labels to what in them anymore as they all the same now.

Its all in one. Only reason now days to do more is in cause two or more players show up to buy from your camp you know so more then one person can have a look into your store. So i am pretty sure lots of old players returning to the game have no clue that they camps are actually not see able on the map cause to them the game does display it on the map.

4. they either a builder youtuber or a exploiter many youtubers for this game that tell you nice building spots and such i've notice keep they camps off and well exporters making dups and such well they do it so they don't get found aka reported and banned you can have a nice place and still go about dupping items.
