Enclave Plasma Rifle user mistake?
As the title says:
So I "finally" at least got the Stabilized flamer MOD, not as good as the aligned but still pretty powerful up close.
so I was repairing it and seeing if I could add anything else and tried Prime capacitor thinking I could just go back to Standard, LIKE every other weapon I have had in the last year or so. Nope.
What am I missing? Besides being an idiot? Anyway to go back? I have other rifle but I guess I can only use this MOD once? Hope this makes sense.
Thanks

If you purchased or found the mod kit, it can only be used once,

For multiple uses you need to find the plan or learn how to craft it.

OK. I was afraid of that. Took me so long to get i and I screw it up. Only had it a few days. Ultracite ammo is, of course, more powerful, but it really eats up the resources to make.
Thank, it's appreciated!

So you can't use the Ammo-Converter to get Ultracite Ammunition :(

But: daily Ops Enemies give the Ammunition for the gun you hold (!) when they die.
i.e. you can join a team and throw Molotw-Cocktails to farm your desired Ammunition.

The Legendary Perk "Ammo Factory" rank 5 gives 150% more when you craft Ammo, maybe you can befriend a trustworthy player who has this perk and is willing to craf tthe Ammo for you.

To produce 120 "Ultracite plasma cartridges" you need:
-9 copper
-18 Lead
-9 Plastic
-Ultracite
-1 cobalt flux
-Plan "prime plasma capacitor" must be learned

With "Ammo Factory" these 120 turns into 300, but this is without "Ammo Smith" (+80%) and Super Duper (+30%).
300 Cartridges equal maybe 2 or 3 minutes (?) intense figthing, I guess you want to have several 1000 rounds in your inventory.

On 2nd thoughts: Go to a Market place (for your platform) and see if someone can help (beware scammers), maybe offer stable flux, Ammunition or Rarities you don't need for bargening.

When crafting ammo don't forget the agility perk to boost it too, as well as Super Duper to occasionally double the outcome.

To the OP, yea, that stinks, though I was never fond of the flamer myself, as it requires you build for semi auto rifles, as that's the perks it gains from, which seems like a mistake on bugthesda's end, I tried the plasma flamers a few times, always abandoned them, there are simply better options, like the chainsaw, has more dps, more damage per tick(I believe), a perk that gives 75% armour penetration, and free to use as there's no ammo cost.

i may be wrong but modus should be selling loose mods with some luck and server hopping.

but what's up with your ammo usage? does the plasma flamer eat that much ammo?
since expeditions hit i'm swimming in uc plasma cart ammo for my plasma caster. in fact i started dropping excess ammo at train stations. before i was around 1000-2000 with some daily ops farming and now i carry ~20 000 rounds on me and even with batteries included they are quite heavy. my stealth commando carries 30 000 rounds uc .45.
expeditions print ammo like crazy.

Plasma caster is how to conserve ammo, the gatling gun of plasma.
Enclave plasma flamer is the most OP weapon in the game, so yea, it eats ammo.

From my experience playing on the Xbox you can't get the plans for the Enclave Plasma Rifle you have to get it through the Enclave mission drops and hope that the rng is in your favor. You can add a couple of mods to it as far as I know but it's very limited.

go with full team on spec ops.
pick weapon with 0 ammo , get all ammo you need.
crafting is good for cores or sniper type like 308mm , for flamer it's better to just get it on transmitter.
you can use other weapons with the same ammo type like plazma caster or normal plazma gun to help your team and don't losse to much in proces.

Try looking for Calibrated beta wave tuner box mod for enclave rifle. Yeah, you'll lose some durability on the gun, but you'll be able to use regular plasma cartriges.

Frankie70 is my bethesda name so Iguess that's it.

I do have the Ammo perks, I do have the Plasma Caster. My Enclave rifle with the stabilized flamer is a Zealot-so it kills a scorchbeast in about 2 seconds. I have 2 other Enclave rifles UNmodded. I was under the impression the aligned flamer gave me MORE range? The stabilized flamer range is real short.
I do like the Plasma Caster alot.
BTW, even though I have been here for a long time, almost 500 levels and many I have not even bothered to level up I am not rel good with in game stuff-as in contacting others, etc.
I truly appreciate all the responses-helps a lot! Thanks

I also keep playing the Enclave stuff, everyday.....I mean rare for these mods is an understatement.
SlowHand178 Nov 2, 2022 @ 11:14am
I also forgot to add that , as you know, you need stable Violet flux to make Ultrtacite ammo. That makes it expensive to me. Although I do have a pretty good supply of all the stable flux's.....
tdurham Nov 2, 2022 @ 4:12pm
the enclave flamer uses cobalt, i collected enough today to make 10,000 rounds, did not make them just wanted the cobalt in stock, doesnt sound like to me you need anything you seem to have things well in hand. enjoy. an bothof the flamer mods are the same range, 48. the one drawback of the weapon, short range, i also use a enclave sniper quad, 99 round clip can do head shots from 4 to 600 depending. draw back for it no silenser.

aligned mods mainly reduce AP costs which combined with a crit build and canned coffee lets it kill earl in about 15~ seconds of continuous fire. if you're using it outside of vats youll get similar performance from stabilized.
As far as mods go, enclave is unfinished, the only learnable mod is the prime receiver. Watoga vendorbot and the Watoga BoS vendorbot occasionally sell mods so get into the habit of checking their stock each time you join a session.
