Best single shot damage heavy guns : two shot grenade laucher, two shot broadsider
Best DPS : vampire accelerate barrel minigun, the laser ones
Honourable mentions : Final Word, Vampire LMG
God Aweful : Harpoon Gun, Gatling Gun (sorry!)
just my opinion - the flamer still rules
If you have the plan to make a small flamer, you are half way there.
If they ever fix the glitch, sure, its down to a reliable firearm, but right now, it only compares with the famous Legacy Gattling Plasma...
Nothing beats that in combination with a T-65. The only real drawback is the lack of VATs to maximize kill counts, but being a heavy you get used to the fact pretty fast.
disagreed (especially towards the GG), but i respect your opinion :P (very understandable)
this has to do with playstyles
i use medic GG for particular situations, usually close-combat-wise
The first is a TSE flamer.
The second is an explosive flachette harpoon gun.
While the TSE flamer simply melts people, the harpoon gun turns them into an instant red mist. No stealth or VATS required for a one shot kill.
Jasmin if you use a Medic GG can I suggest a change to Pepper Shaker.
The multi pellet will make the medic effect much stronger, heck it may even make the single barrel useful (16 pellets).
i can always use more pepper shakers :P
i only have one at this moment for my medic
Rolf they punished someone in all this years? Nope, they tried to "ban" the vendor dupe, but after 3-7 days all the players was back with the full stock of item, so no, they don't punish player whatever they do. They only punish honest player, since if you get hacked and get robbed of everything, you get a nice kick in the ass by bethesda support and nothing back. Still all this time and there is a lot of player with "legacy" (rolf xD) gun that don't even existed in the game, they was injected with external hack.
All purpose usefulness will still go to the gatling gun just because it's so ammo efficient and can be very good with the right legendary roll.
But I am having way too much fun with an anti-armor fatman. Good god. Maxed ordinance express allows you to carry 45 mini nukes if you managed your weight right.
I know it's not part of the ballistic HW family, But god, the blast radius, the absolute mayhem it causes. the deadly bloatfly swarms I've utterly-erased with it..
Too much fun.
I didn't want to start another "Heavy Gun Topic"...but yesterday I picked up a pretty decent stat LMG MG42. I've never really took one out since you very seldom see it mentioned or in builds......are these even worth keeping?......
.....Ammo is most expensive to craft,
.....High Fire-rate of over 150 vs Laser and Plasma Gatling and a little less than the insane Mini-Gun Fire-rate.
......And worse of all, has the fewest basically no real modes to do much with...basically a receiver
Pros...supposedly the highest DPS out there but seems the negatives outweigh the positives compared to other Heavy Gun Choices....I'm I wrong?
But... LMG for me personally is the most fun, albeit very expensive to use and with very hard recoil. I am currently grinding for Quad Explosive LMG.
50 cal is OK too, it is very potent, but only 250 rounds that you empty very quickly.
FYI, Two shot on any explosive launcher will fire two projectiles at full damage. So a Two Shot Fatman will literally do double damage. Add on the MIRV mod and you'll be hitting with 12 explosions per shot - basically carpet bombing an area.
