Camp Budget Sucks
I have to say this - so annoyed that while the Atomic Shop has some really cool items and we spend our hard-earned actual money for Atoms - you can't build them because of the camp budget. This is so annoying and close to being a scam that it's one of my main hates of FO76. Also, leveling up hardly allows any change in the budget. One of my favorite things to do - build Camp - is ruined with the ridiculous budget. It's interesting that they are able to lift most building restrictions when you have a shelter but not above ground within your perimeter.

I've built a very large glass mansion, trees, mood lighting. It's beautiful and I love walking into my Camp.

This is your problem right here. By building a single large structure you'll use more lights that take up lots of budget and you'll probably create more rooms which the walls/doors will take up again more budget.

You can have a large outer building but then need to think of having a more open plan interior. Combine a kitchen with dining room and lounge room into one open space. Reconsider nice looking but useless rooms, do you need multiple bedrooms when one large one would do etc.

Do you really need a bathroom, can a window as a skylight substitute for lamps etc. Plant less crops but purchase the turbofert from Foundation, double your crop output but not your crop budget. Can workbenches substitute for furniture such as brewing station and chemistry for sinks.

Live by Marie Kondo. If it no longer brings joy, throw it out. Smaller but we'll decorated can look better than large but sparse.

I find that having a "Dome" shaped build area makes no sense when it's square foundations. Just saying the build area should be a big square so you can fit items better.

I will say I have had some clever builds with what they have but it's a huge pain and always results with at least a few of..."Object in the way, needs support, outside the build area." when there is nothing in the way.

Actually I learned this long ago - I don't have room/room/room - I don't like putting walls up anyway. I like it very open, clean but unique. I never plant crops or put up defenses. I don't crowd items that I don't find interesting or ugly. But what if I did like those things? It annoys me that we don't have the freedom to do what we want with our Camps.

I've got some really nice houses. You don't need to throw out EVERYTHING you own into a single 4 square unit. I don't know what's worse, coming up on a CAMP that has all it's collectibles strewn out all over the place like a hill billy junk yard or a tiny hut crammed full of mis matching equipment.

Themed unique homes are all that deserve spotlight in 76
I never cram things into my Camp - I have it so it looks into. I like it to make sense - like I actually live there and and have nice things for my friends to enjoy. I've built a very large glass mansion, trees, mood lighting. It's beautiful and I love walking into my Camp.

An increase in camp budget is not about making the camp bigger, its about making it more detailed. More and more things are added with every season. Would be nice to add that to the camp. Not remake the camp for those items. Season 10 have some cool items i hear.

It's just math. Small Camp budget. Run out of budget. Buy shelters that each have a larger budget. Find that there's more shelter budget than you have items to place in All of them. Buy more items from the Atomic shop to fill in the empty spots in those shelters. Beth makes more profit and that allows the game to live on a little longer before it goes the way of the Dodo bird.

They can believe that if they want. People just ditch the game and move on with their lives.

UP/revive +1
5000 objects to put in 1000 budget camp!!!!
SerialGamer 23 DIC 2023 a las 5:37 p. m.
A camp's budget is the smallest in the game, only 500 units. All the paid shelters have at least 700 units. Sound Stage shelter has 704 units. Toxic Wasteland shelter has 1500 units. One unit is what most static floor decor items occupy: plants, plushies, beer steins, tables, chairs, etc. all occupy one unit each. For instance, if you build 500 chairs, your camp is full.

Most workshops on the map have 1000 to 2000 units of build budget, but of course you lose all your builds when you switch server.

Build budget of every item and every shelter and camp can be found on the spreadsheet here: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/11adrrv/updated_flamingo_unit_camp_cost_spreadsheet/ . Very helpful info and fascinating read. The guy uses "flamingo units" to measure budget, which is confusing. Just remember that one unit is the smallest unit an item occupies, like most static decor items. Objects with animated effects and/or additional functions, like doors, turrets, vending machines, lights, crafting stations, etc., all occupy more units.
