[] is a known scammer that's now banned on both the official fo76 discord and fo76 trading hub, scammed me with his partner-in-crime [] today. Be aware of these 2 ppl and stay far away from them.
I'm going to enjoy my transaction with [] and [] to the fullest extend and make sure their reputation spreads far and wide.

Thing with trading item-for-item is that unless you have a courier trust is always involved(and not everyone is comfortable using a courier due to inconveniences). Someone gotta drop the item first. And if you are only trading with people you trust, the items available for trade will be severely limited, and you might never find any demanding item like q/ffr/25 Fixer(which Sholly scammed away from me). Trading will only get better if Bethesda takes scamming seriously and ban every scammer account. Report any scammer you find to Bethesda customer.
I already submitted a ticket and Bethesda is investigating Sholly will take corresponding actions. If I can get a lv1000+ scammer banned with 3 Fixers then this will be a good trade

Are you? Why would you assume someone would knowingly trade with a scammer and complain about it. When I was trying to get Sholly banned in Tradehub server, I found out his name is already there. And later someone in the official server said he is also familiar with Sholly's reputation.

This is a public community forum; we have no power beyond what Bethesda does. We also are relying upon your words alone which is not at all good considering the next problem.

By calling someone out like you have done, with account name etc . OP you will be tied for any actions done to those accounts. If any actions happen in game to those accounts outside of Bethesda doing it . It would fall upon the (OP) calling to arms people you don't know to those account names.

Personally i understand your frustrations but this is the way it works. It is why Bethesda is the only ones that can actually do anything. Lastly, trades that are done outside of the game though communications like Discord etc are not guaranteed. They are not supported and the person takes the risk of this happening. Sorry you got scammed honestly, but no one can take anyone's words at just face value .

My words are not alone, this is happening in the official FO76 discord where a lot people learned about this incident and watched Sholly's discord get banned and based on what I've heard, this scammer is relatively well-known(which is quite ridiculous for Bethesda letting someone who scammed so many time still walk freely in this game).
I also know posting here on steam probably wont do anything but I want to cover every part of social network there is to make everyone away of these scammer, well at least part of the reason, the other part is for my personal revenge and satisfaction. And I have contacted Bethesda already they are or have taken actions.
Also what you said about trading, it's true that trading is personal risk, but as old as this game is, trading is one of the main remaining reasons that people are still playing this game. If you are suggesting we should not react and talk about scammer like this because people who got scammed is for their own fault for taking risk, and let scamming continue and let the trading community rot, then we have very different idea about how a FO76 gaming community work.

Trading outside of this game is unavoidable as the game itself have no ways for player to communicate with each other and no options for item-for-item trade.
I was not trading on some dark alley black market real money trade, I was in their official discord with Bethesda staffs in it, I cant think of a more legitimate place to discuss trading. And someone was already on a scammer list was allowed to enter due to oversight and it takes a incident to get him caught.
Scammer should NEVER be tolerated, they should be banned, prosecuted, so that no one dares to scam again and everyone will have better life trading in FO76
It's in every player's right to crucify every last one of those scammers to make sure we have a cleaner community. If they dont want to be called name upon they should never have scammed.

literally use your camp store to sell a item you want for caps, or give it away. you can't trade things other wise, the point of the games not to be a sucker, so if you droped your item, your only scamed yourself why you blaming people for your own mistakes, you wanted what you considered was a better item for the one you had. You got nothing do to your own greed an need to cheat someone else outta something better.

time to grow up and stop making bad trades stop even trying to beat the system, you are proof that scamming yourself is the real crime, so try not to do it again.
