Keyword for nuclear code decryption
I'm trying to launch my 1st nuke. I've red the guides and somewhat understand the decryption process. The guides say that the codes reset each week on Monday. They also say that the keyword appears on the boards one letter each day until the codes reset. The thing is, its now Sunday, I have 8 pieces and I go to look on the board and there is only one letter of each keyword revealed. If it only reveals one letter a day before reset and it resets tomorrow, how am I supposed to get the keyword before my 8 pieces expire?

Edit: Ok some guides said codes reset on Monday, another reddit comment said Tuesday, and another said Wednesday. Now I just read on the site that lists the codes for the week that the codes reset on Saturday the 3rd. So I guess I can cheat and use the online codes, or I can wait to figure out the codes myself.

Nobody decrypts the codes themselves. They all use the interwebs.

You get launch codes fast from websites like this one

https://www.falloutbuilds.com/fo76/nuke-codes/

I believe the reset is on Saturday in the US and EU. If you see a code on a website for the week your in. Launch away.

we should do it for reals for once
that actually would be fun

also MODUS is a bot on discord
>cc
command gives you the codes

and before some people go "that's cheating wa"
the MODUS bot is actually on the official Fallout 76 discord server

it's hilarious actually

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah I'll probably end up using the online sources once the new wears off, but I kind of wanted to do it myself for the same reasons I do Sudoku and other puzzles.

that is quite awesome of you
however, it's meant to solve in a team
because like you said they expire so doing that solo was never intended

For very low values or fun.

It should be obvious, but what's fun is entirely subjective. Some people like decryption puzzles.

The codes self destruct every Friday evening, 8:00 PM eastern, in the US and a new keyword is generated.

If you want to decode the launch code yourself I suggest waiting until Tuesday or Wednesday as more of the letters will have been filled in, depending on how challenging you want it to be.

It is quite satisfying to decode the launch code yourself but does get tiresome after the tenth time, hence the reason people use Nukacrypt.

for the truth
for finding out how the game was intended to be played ...?

but most importantly: for that unique bragging right that you played it 100% classic

which are all part of the Fun-thing

yes, but there's almost always a nerd in the team
a person that takes it upon them self to do the analyzing work
(if not, well what's the point playing with players who are a copy of yourself...? sounds dull to me)
