What Rads? vs a Special Legendary Card
Deciding what to take for my 5th card and I think it's down to either What Rads? or one of the special stat ones. I never run bloodied builds or anything where I would want radiation, so is What Rads? actually useful? I feel like it'd be good for nuke zones and events like Radiation Rumble

what rads is a very minor QoL perk, easily replaced by radaway

rad rumble radiation is something you can't really block its stupidly high, but they do provide rad scrubbers in the middle to clean it off

nuke zones, if you are in PA you won't get much benefit, if you are in chinese stealth suit/rad suit you won't get any benefit, if you are in regular armour maybe but it won't be enough to keep you from using stuff

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo holmes, smell ya later"
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air

Gotcha. So, I'm probably safe passing on it for another special card it sounds like

If you don't like using radaway or forget the diluted version as it doesn't suppress mutations it is a nice "I'm too lazy to micro manage the rads". FYI I use it all of my full health characters because I am lazy and can sell off all the radaway the game throws at players.

EDIT: As a secondary note if you run the Ghoulish perk never put What Rads? higher than rank 3 (100 RR). At rank 4 (300 RR) it will completely ruin any healing from What Rads? and there is no going back.

Rad away doesn't mess with mutations, nor does dilluted rad away - they both remove rads

Rad-X adds to your rad resistance level and does suppress mutations, dilluted rad-x provides less rad resistance but does not suppress mutations

IMO

Taking one for the team = Top Tier = 1.5x damage multiplier

SPEcIAL = High Tier = Charisma is bugged so its meh... adding up to 30 more perk cards is pretty OP

Follow Through = super situational = 1.5x multiplier IF you get the first hit on something (never happens on the queen, sheep, or other bosses in the world... SOMETIMES you can get it on earle...) its essential to the 6-8 second solo earle melting builds though... for most enemies it does work on it doesn't matter because they are dead anyway...

Ammo Factory = QoL = Its mediocre, by the time its helpful ammo is not an issue

What rads = QoL = low effect

Funky Duds = super situational = covers one of the weaknesses of bloodied/unyielding
BUT a stim pack does the same thing just as well...

the lockpick one = QoL = super low and often negative effects on you (wanted levels)

If you don't use power armor and also have mutations it's exceedingly useful combined with the ghoulified endurance perk. In nuked areas you can avoid rad-x altogether and sub radaway for stims and you're near-invincible as the radiation will keep you at full health.

Yeah, I got that wrong. Still I hate using radaway as the only way to use it in an emergency (respawn at Scorched Earth etc.) is to quick wheel it, even then the game may bug out and not stop the rads.

But really with SPECIAL cards you'd be hard pressed to need more than 15 (3 maxed cards), even 10 gets up there.

Planning on Nukes and Dragons will help you decide if you need all the extra perk points.

My Shotgun guy hit 15 extra with rank 3 in 5 cards and tbh I can't really see how the extra 10 points maxing all of them will help. The key specials are covered and extra would only go in useless fillers in endurance and charisma.

So plan for the end goal to not waste perk coins now.
