How do I fix the shadows and lighting being weird with the trees?
Im on max settings and for some reason, far off, no shadows. But if I turn, the shadows start to show but then its just darkness.
And with the trees. The lighting shines off the leaves making the trees look partially white. And the same issue with the shadows of the trees as the other thing.
How do i fix this....? It never used to. All my drivers are up to date.

What GPU? And give any other PC info that might be important.

Ever fiddled with the .ini files?

Actually drop a screenshot or three in here so we can see what you mean.

Ive never messed with any of the files of the game. Plus i just reinstalled it yesterday. Lol. I also dont know how to add screenshots. I tried to when posting but it didnt work.
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti with Max-Q
CPU : i5-10300H 2.5Ghz - I know that sounds old but it actually just came out like a year or two ago. Its a higher powered one or something.
Im running it on win11 with 20gb of ram installed.

I can play games like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk with the next-gen upgrade either on max or close to max with no issues. So idk why this is messing up. FO76 DOES play very smoothly tho. I get 60+ frames.

Yeah. It was fine before the Alien update. Idk how it was during that update because it broke the stability for me so i uninstalled it. I reinstalled it yesterday for the new update and tho the stability is much better, the shadows on terrain (so far) like to constantly change (even on the trees) when i move the camera. Sometimes it even looks like just blurry dark spots.

I got it fixed. All i had to do was put the shadow range to low. Now it looks normal.... Even the settings dont make sense!!

I cleared my Stam cache and it seemed to fix the issue.
It's weird for everyone.

They screwed it up for F76. Everything is screwed up.

Some of the art assets look metallic in Fallout 4 yet they look washed out in Fallout 76.
Fallout 4 got it right.

Oh yeah. I gave up on F76. Its not worth the headache. Modded FO4 is the best.
