Display settings not saving anyone able to help?
I'm desperate so I'm asking here but as the title says my games display settings keep resetting, i don't have the best computer but I've had the game since launch and once i put it on steam I've had this issue, its not offering a option to save settings once I've made them

I know that if you don't quit out of the game all the way to the desktop (yes game not running in anyway) after changing display settings then they do not save.

Thus making a disply change then:
Continuing to play, they will not save
Closing out to the main menu then jumping back into another game, they will not save

That being said It would help others understand what exactly you are having a problem with if you were a bit more specific about what you are doing (which changes you are making under display) before, during and after you make a change.

I'm trying to set everything to low, like turn everything i can to low, resolution to 1600/900 and full screen. yes i call that playable but after i make the settings and i go and close the full game. once i reboot the settings will revert to what they were when i just downloaded the game

Sounds like your files are set to read only.

Go to Documents\My Games\Fallout 76 and right click on Fallout76.ini and Fallout76Prefs.ini

Choose Properties at bottom of list and see if Read Only is checked, you'll probably have to log in as an administrator.

1. Right click on the desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings.
2. Click Preferences at the bottom of the window.
3. Click Restore Factory Defaults.
4. Click Yes.
5. Close the window and try starting Fallout 76 again.

To reset NVIDIA video card settings:

2. Click Manage 3D Settings.
3. Click Restore settings.
4. Click OK.
5. Close the window and try starting Fallout 76 again.
