Report a translation problem
Thus making a disply change then:
Continuing to play, they will not save
Closing out to the main menu then jumping back into another game, they will not save
That being said It would help others understand what exactly you are having a problem with if you were a bit more specific about what you are doing (which changes you are making under display) before, during and after you make a change.
Go to Documents\My Games\Fallout 76 and right click on Fallout76.ini and Fallout76Prefs.ini
Choose Properties at bottom of list and see if Read Only is checked, you'll probably have to log in as an administrator.

To reset AMD video card settings:
1. Right click on the desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings.
2. Click Preferences at the bottom of the window.
3. Click Restore Factory Defaults.
4. Click Yes.
5. Close the window and try starting Fallout 76 again.
To reset NVIDIA video card settings:
1. Right click on the desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel.
2. Click Manage 3D Settings.
3. Click Restore settings.
4. Click OK.
5. Close the window and try starting Fallout 76 again.
