Technically yes but you will have to pay for a private server. That is if you want to play 100% alone.

In a regular adventure server 99% of everything can be done solo.

You can play single player on a world with up to 24-28 other people, or you for a subscription, you can play single player on a world all by yourself.

But playing public with friends and randoms is much more fun than playing solo on a private world.

Only if you want "Fallout 1st" membership, which gives you access to private server, extra goodies you can build for your camp, extra rewards on the season scoreboard, an unlimited-storage scrapbox for junk, and probably a few other goodies too.

The game doesn't force you to interact with other players, though, so you can play totally solo if you want. It does get fun going to community events, though.

THIS game is Pay TO PLAY only. ButThesda will NEVER allow you to play single player unless you PAY the $100 a year for what they call a "Private Server" Not to mention they will NEVER allow Item MODS. Ya they broke that promise. No mod support and if you want ANY kind of building freedom you have to pay ALLOT for it .
IMHO. This game is not worth it.

a lot of levels in single player are instance based so you will never meet any other players + there are deserted servers depending on the time zone where are max 3 players so i fail to see how it's a problem since if you are playing story related content you will not meet anyone in these zones anyway.

of course there people on the map but most of them do their own thing whit out bothering any one

This is my experience also. My rare interactions with other players have always been friendly.

You're not experiencing the game as intended and doing yourself a disservice. you need people for Events, Daily Ops, Buying/Selling from your C.A.M.P. and just in general fun. people in this game are more friendly than others. also future content like The Pit will not be doable Solo. you after all did pay for a MmoLite game and not a SP game. if you don't like that then go play Fallout 4 or many of the other SP games out there.

you can basically play by yourself on a public server. Just don't take over any workshops as it allows you to be PvPd. The workshops aren't worth taking anyways. 99% all the players are just doing their own thing and ignoring everyone else that they aren't grouped up with. I have over 500 hours on XBox and played almost all of that solo.

NO you cant play it in Singleplayer, its allways in Multiplayer no mather what you do or buy(even Private Servers are exactly this SERVERS).

Don't you have to be on site for workshop pvp? I've taken over some workshops in the past and usually everyone on the server just claims their own or ignores them. Honestly the last time i remember pvping anyone was at launch and it was actually my fault I attacked another players walls at their camp just to see what happens and the player was near by and we fought a little and that was it lol. You don't really get anything out of it.

It's too bad the battle royale thing was removed but it honestly was kinda cumbersome.
