My AA crossbow disappeared from my inventory.

As the title states. I had a nice AA crossbow that is no longer in my inventory. It was a weapon I had it favorited as well. Not in my stash and I am positive I never exchanged it for scrip(I had it yesterday). Is this a known issue? / Is there anything I can do or just SOL?

your prob either scarped it or sold it or dropped it had a brain fart, or desided you didn't want it before you quit.

things just don't disappear, your where most likely outta your head playing intoxicated an messed up, power armor is also easy to lose if you scrap it by accident cause of game lag.

Most likely you sold it or scripped it by mistake. Its annoying, thats why I use atom shop skins on my all my used weapon and gear so they don't appear in the vendor or scrip machine.

Allways double check the scrip vendor machine before you leave it, so you can buy back the item you scripped by mistake.

k if it had explosive then it was a hacked weapon and might have gotten caught in the this is wrong files.

Explosive crossbows are not hacked, you get the plan from Foundation along withe the explosive Bow.

You can craft another crossbow & add random legendary mods to it.

If you don't have the plans, there should be one at the scout camp, near the archery range:

Also, explosive crossbows aren't hacked weapons, it's just another mod:

Hacked weapon. Crossbows can be nonlegendary explosive with appropriate mod, and as such, cannot be legendary explosive.

Its a known (but I thought fixed) issue to have fo76 unfavourite items and then you can accidentally stash, sell or script them. Used to happen all the time, I haven't had the problem in over a year

They never went away, their is two very unknown trade stealing techniques that are still unaddressed... no one is doing it for anything less than an explosive peppershaker (aka 10+ legacies in value)

Also the vendor glitch still exists in at least one well known form (a video of exactly how to do it was released to bethesda)

The gold or script instead of caps bug I'm not sure how it happens but you can get gold/script from vendors instead of caps its quite uncommon

BECAUSE it cannot spawn on them

BECAUSE they have a mod that adds explosive to bows and xbows as a weapon type

No one would hack that weapon in as it would be a pointless redundant effect on a very weak weapon

Explosive goes in the other upgrade slot, It is not part of the legendary equation.

so a hacked bow with explosive modded with another ammunition type would not do a combined damage of explosive and also, say, flaming damage? Sound like something a poorly socialized teen relatively new to the world of exploitation might try for funzies...
maybe that's just my inner child speaking, though.

may i ask if you obtain that antiarmor weapon recently?
because:
sometimes server resets progress of char. it happened to me a couple times. (after this server move shannigan). while doing something, or questing etc, you die ridiculoisly, (ie: to single shot pipe gun from full health. or while moving around zapp. instant die to noone).
after die you respawn either to different than your last location or force spawn at vault 76 enterance.
aaand you lose progress, lose done quest, and or items.
maybe you had theese kind of reset. and lost weapon in the process.

lol at the instant death / 1 shot , ive had that happen a few times, never noticed losing a weapon from it, but junk items ive seen drop, makes sense you will lose a item if you didn't fast travel or check a stash box though.

You can't scrap/ script one skinned.
Don't even think you can sell it skinned.?...
Do they make skins for bows?
I've never had a bow skin.
