Weapons HELP lvl 25

so ive just hit level 25 and ive been running a shotgunner build since its easy on my ammo but the first legendary shotgun ive got is a 2 shot double barrel which is annyoing cause only having 2 shots is awful but the damage on those shots is pretty damn good. i cant pick between it or my combat shotgun and im not sure what to go with weapon wise rn. what should i go for at level 25? thinking of just going combat rifle but i have no good mods for it :/

If you scrap enough pump actions to get the silencer and hardened receiver that's worth it at levels under 50 even without legendary effects. A black powder pistol or rifle is better than a double barrel, imo.

handmade weapons are pretty good since they drop a lot and you can scrap a lot of mods

Honestly as long as it's a decent shotty then what kind of shotgun it is doesn't matter, you just have to use it until you hit level 50. From there, you start working towards your desired shotgun and its legendary effects.

My shotgunner uses a combat shotgun. 10 shots vs 2. Less chance of being overrun while reloading.

Pump action is ok, but the combat shotgun starts at Lv 20 and it is superior to the pump action due to the faster time between shots and it being magazine fed so faster to reload and a bigger mag capacity to start with.

Quad legendary effect on the double barrel can be fun though. I had one of those but scrip it before i decided to make a dedicated shotgun character. Doh.

The quad double barrel is fun and great for blasting the mobs off you.
