A Knight's Penance bug

I keep getting stuck in dialogue right when Knight Shin jumps on the mine. He just lays on the ground and Initiate Hewsen keeps looking around. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to get past this? Restarted my game and went to this part 3 times now.

Shin and (Private) Hewsen are just having some 'private' time.

Usual things are don't skip dialogue as that messes things up and look for any hostiles which includes the chicken in the cage.
