What are the stamps for?

I get postage stamps for doing new tasks. Apparently it's the in-game currency. However, I don't see them anywhere in the inventory. I also don't know who I can buy anything from.

Trade them with Giuseppe, he is in that Whitespring Refuge place.
When u show up in the refuge, go right, past the representatives, into the common room, turn left and walk into the room that has a big "Giuseppe" banner above the door.
Next to the nuka cola bot, if you are already familiar with the Whitespring

Very overpriced items... The cheapest items will take like 9 expeditions if you complete all of the objectives.

I'm sure that will be fixed, but I was a bit upset because the expedition took so long.

OP, how many stamps you have shows in your Pip-Boy/Stats/Collections. The same place your amount of scrip and bullion are displayed.

You only acquire stamps from doing Expeditions. Not for doing any other kind of "Task".

I like mementos. Got the Trog tube in the first two days that the weekly rare plan became available. Bought the Banners with my first 175 stamps and now I only need 40 more stamps to get the Pitt Street Kit. LOL, all I want from that stupid kit is the parking meter to display. The Grind is as real as it can be!

Stamps indicate you have paid your Union Dues. Usually (real life) they go in a booklet showing month/year/quarter you are paid up for.

The Union in The Pitt give us stamps instead of usable money because they are like most unions and really communists. The irony is they aren't the Red Chinese kind. Asking us to give back the stamps is theft of our dues.

The USA fought to the end vs. communism, but here we are, Vault '76ers helping that very same 'enemy'.

Biggest use it to get the upgrades for the AutoAxe and for the Union PA upgrades.

I haven’t had an expedition take an hour since the first week.

Now it’s 15 minutes or less.
