Make sure you have pacifist mode on in the settings if you are not interested in fighting other players. If your loot bag was gone then yes, it was likely taken. Common for this to happen in PvP as the junk you drop is the only thing the other player can loot from you. If you are going to engage in PvP store your junk before you do.
You do not however drop any junk in Events unless you died just as the event ended but overall if you die in a event with say many players in the event you don't have to worry about a player taking it as you keep all the junk you had on you.
Like that, if you die again, your junk bag will stay untouched.
If you have pick up new junk items and die again , your junk bag will be only with the new junk items, you loose your 1st try to retrieve it ... .
umm unless they was a update that change it that i am not aware of then fair enough but as i know this is not true.
all it does by dying again while picking up new junk before getting your old is replacing the waypoint of your death, meaning if you know were you died the first time you can actually collect the junk you lost on your 1st death as it would be still there but, yes they will be no indication to were the bag actually is so you will have to go by memory, what shouldn't be too hard to do.
Also player bags do disappear i will admit i don't know how long but i think its around a hour so yes you got like a hour or longer if i am wrong to re pick that first death junk bag back up.
Yeah, this is an important tip. I lost a whole bunch of flux when I was new, and didn't know other players could take your stuff when you die. Honestly, flux should probably be "Misc" instead of "Junk".
Actually, it is still where you dropped it but it is no longer marked. You have to remember where you dropped it.
Yes. Can confirm this. Your original death bag will still be there, the map marker will simply point to the latest one not the previous ones.
