I've been saving up all these that drop until they show a use. What are they good for? There must be a special purpose.

Go hand them in at camp venture (down stairs) or to the girl at fort atlas,only take 1 at a time you will get xp and rewards

You can turn them in for rewards at Camp Venture or Fort Atlas once you have completed the main quest Defiance Has Fallen.

Yeap, for the above ... . For me, when I have learned what I want, I pill them up for a double xp week-end. It's around 4k xp with buffs, casual team and 4 launchboxes for each one that I return ... .

Only have 1 on you when you turn them in though , If not it will take them all from you and only count as 1 , Best thing to do is if you have a 1st tent flop it down right outside the gate and that will save you some time from having to fast travel back and forth to a stash box

Store them in your stash and at fort atlas give one at a time to Scribe Valdez and get about 28 caps, some xp and rewards. If you give 2 you don’t get double caps so in fort atlas there is a stash box use them one at a time. I wait until I have 10 or more to Mack the trip worth it. Enjoy.

Seems like a big hassle, you could just kill 3 super mutants for the same EXP in your said setup

As Novice and William mentioned, the plans are worth. The shielded underlining for BOS underarmor is one the better underarmors - doesn't really compete with Secret Service, but the defense stats are well above other choices. I believe the total SPECIAL bonus is a point or two higher as well. Also, those T-60 paints aren't bad rewards if you're a PA user.

As for the reward being a hassle, Yes it would be just obnoxious if you were just seeking it out for the reward but you find the things everywhere, and when you have a stack of a hundred and you follow the advice of the previous posters (survival tent, or similar) it becomes an easy free caps and reward chance every day you log in... for a hundred days, probably more since you're liable to find more Data in the interim period.

I knew they had to have some value so Ive saved all I found. Sounds good guys. I am a little behind on the main quest line so I have to see where I'm at. Sounds good solid plan to build a tent and keep turning them in 1 at a time. I think the rewards are likely well worth it, even if just maybe for lunch boxes. Im going to check out the forbidden knowledge link and see what I can expect to get. Thanks everyone for useful suggestions and information.

Reward is BOS rank paint for the T-60 PA. Their rank system.

And I will add : BOS and Military clothes, BOS UnderArmor plans and maybe some weapon plans too (will have to check this, not sure) ... .

I found out I still have to do the quest so I may do that tonight. I hope they will have some good weapon plans, we'll see.
