mother drill at communist command

once you enter the communist command, there is the possibility of using the mother drill to reach 4 different destinations. Anyone know if this is part of a project?

I don't know, but now if you go there you can use the mother drill to travel to 4 nonsense destinations

I think its just a way to fast travel out of the cave during a mission for the foundation settlers. So you dont have to run all the way out if you are over-encumbered.

I thought it was about Capital Wasteland DLC, really i would prefer Fallout 5 but its not my choice.

If you go back to the points, where it drops you, you can get back into the Mother Lode and FT the other end points.

I appreciate your answer, but I should understand the reason for this opportunity. I honestly don't understand the meaning of this free trip to four different locations, unless I know the evolution of this part of the game. You know, there are other undeveloped ones, a sign that there were no game strategies first developed and then not continued. Maybe a game development problem? I do not know

In lore Hornwright built 3 Motherload sub terrain drills. The one in the Deep communist base was stolen by them to move around Appalachia undetected.

The points on the map it can go to don't have any particular reason or hidden function beyond fast travel.

Many thanks for your reply, I would not have forgotten anything, after all there are several unknowns or missions not developed, or developed in an alternative way. I am doing this in order not to forget something not done
