You are correct!
@OP= a wise man once told me: even though your opponent seems to have the upper hand over you all the time you can still make sure they have the same horrible time you have.
if you see a lone traveler with a spiffy white fedora hat circling around the green workshop barrier, tell him i said thanks.
This is exactly why PVP is irrelevant in this game. People get killed in the one place on the entire map where you can get killed and run to the forums to talk about their bad experience. Just stay away from the -3 people who want to PVP. This is not a hard concept.
I'm not sure you understand what I meant, I don't mind pvp, I just wondered how he was able to attack me when I did not initiate a takeover in the workshop and my pacifist mode is on. As far as I know, he should not be able to kill me that way. If I activated the takeover thing and/or turned pacifist mode off, then yeah he should be able to kill me.
All I asked was if there's something I don't understand or did he cheat?
It's pretty unlikely they were cheating, and being in a workshop it will be pretty hard to determine that dependent on when you started recording. It's neigh impossible for us as players to tell with accuracy, though being there I can determine if someone is breaking pacifist mode. Without going into game logs or first person watching the player for repeated incidences the techs may not be able to tell just from your video for the same reason.
Again I will reiterate it is unlikely he was cheating, but workshops are and have been agreed upon to be the last public PvP areas in the game. If you claim them you run the risk of PvP, they really are more of a resource drain and time kill so claiming any more than one is invitation to PvP.
We can't tell you if they were cheating from here. If the player did break pacifist then they will almost certainly do so again; thank you for recording and sending in, it won't hurt the player if they're innocent. If you have a similar situation occur and want backup either recording or combating suspected Hacks, just drop through, as a lot of players here are on board with that.
the host would be a referee/judge
give more options so we can create specific (pvp) rules/zones/timers/safezones/insta-nukes...
example: the players awake from the host's shelter
timer jumps on 0:00:00
a voice commands you to drink the cup on your nightstand
all the doors are blocked by rubble
you either drink the (obvious) vintage nukashine, or the shelter caves in and you get thrown out of match
the host jumps to the next place
only place that is a safe house
rad storms are silly because i have my handy chinese catsuit on my whee... wtf where is it ?
Rules by host = rad-protecting armor not allowed
Now, that IS fun mode
other fun things: since nukashine is all about melee the host should be able to -via rule-options- disable any use of non-melee
more options to create rules and this custom world "feature" cannot fail
actually wrote a pvp-mode that should be perfect for just any private world
legacies won't do much in there
and people getting killed fast in the beginning won't be sitting back watching the rodeo
