Forced pvp?
Hey guys,

I'm playing 76, there is this guy with a wanted level, trolling people to see who has their friendly fire turned off, and I decided to follow him around for a bit after he ruined a Radiation Rumble.

He took over a workshop, and I'm inside the workshop area but not attacking or taking over the workshop so he should not be able to damage me, right? He pulled out an auto grenade launcher and for some reason forced me into pvp. I did not activate taking over the workshop and my friendly fire is turned off.

Is there some trick I didn't get that involves the grenade launcher or is it something else?

in game name?

I made a recording (he was still doing it when I made the first post). But it involves their names and I don't think the forum allows posting their names.

Yeah I don't know, might seem relevant. I wasn't attacking or anything but maybe that had something to do with it. I'm thinking of reporting him and sending Bethesda the video.

I'm waiting for the contested workshop to cooldown (His trick, or what I don't understand, pulled me into contesting the workshop) and see if I can make another video. Do you know a good site to upload it? I usually don't do this sort of thing.

just youtube - unlisted

✓No, it's not made for kids
✓No, don't restrict my video to viewers over 18 only

also make sure to show if pacifist is on or off

it's also important to know if you "ignore"d or "respawn"ed
your first clip might have the answer

He left, I couldn't make another video. I reported him and I'll ask Bethesda in the follow up mail how I can send them the video. I don't use Youtube to upload stuff myself, and I don't want to make a channel just for this, thanks for the help though.

But is there a known trick to pull people into pvp without their consent? In the first video I made, I showed the menu where it says pacifist mode is on.

not theirs, yours. Sent you a friend request when you made the post if it's the same.

If you are in the workshop as he's trying to take it. Then yes he can kill you.

Even when I didn't contest him taking the workshop? I thought I was safe as long as I didn't initiate taking over the workshop myself.

Friendly fire is enabled in a workshop. Which is why you have to defend it. I would report that guy seems like he is ruining fun and events

Its crazy how trolling has now turned into such toxic stuff. Back in my day we never did anything like that cuz there was tons of common courtesy

Nope, if you are in workshop area at time someone takes it over you're considered an enemy. The takeover bar stops until you are killed or walk off the workshop area so he pretty much had to kill you.
