how can I tell if my steam account and my bethesda account are successfully linked?

I currently play fallout76 through the Bethesda Launcher. Bethesda has been telling us for a month the launcher is going away but have provided no specific info on how we can link to and continue playing their game through steam. I found an article on the Web published by Sam Chandler on April 2,2020 telling how I can link my Steam account and Bethesda account. I go through that process but can find nothing in steam that shows they are linked, nor can I find anything on Bethesda's site telling me they are linked. I'm unable to find fallout 76 other than the downloadable pay option. Can you help me understand how linking these two accounts can be done? Where can I look in steam to see all my linked games? Anyone Please?

Log in to bethesda.net, click your account on upper right corner, select linked accounts and it shows Steam if account is linked.

You probably linked your account when game become available in steam, steam version was a limited time freebie for those using beth launcher and came bundled with original Fallouts.

That "limited time" was quite long IIRC, freebie offer might still have been running when you got your copy. But it was just a guess, original Fallouts might be some permanent freebie for anyone linking their beth account to steam or something, can't say but that's where I got them. Had them already but not on Steam so it was kinda nice to get all Fallouts under one launcher.

The Steam promotion was for those who bought the game before April 2020.
I still don't remember how I got the games for free in Steam after I linked my account maybe there was another promotion.

You're right. Yeah, it's possible there's been some other promotion or something, who knows with this company. :P

I've been trying since April 1st to link my BETH account to Steam here and keeps saying it cant link, and BETH account saying it isnt linked to anything already. Emailed Beth, and have a feeling just another Bethesda screw up.

I haven't done this so hopefully the info is good, I've read this is what Bethesda support suggests.
