Knight's Penance-Dialog stuck

I am at the part of the quest where Shin jumps on the explosive. Hewson stands up, but I have no dialog options. I can look around, and I can show and hide the dialog history, but nothing else I press helps me move forward.

I have no choice other than forcing the game closed. I can go through the area back to where Knight Shin is waiting for me, and then the scene repeats with the same results.

I've googled this, and it seems as though it has happened before, but I can't find a solution. Can anyone help?

Can confirm, I had to wait a minute maybe? Not sure, but definitely a while.

I don't recall if it works with Shin, but with npcs that serve multiple purposes such as multiple quests (ward) it seems to happen a bit more. If you want the process to go faster, stop looking at the character (look somewhere else on the screen to make the npc name disappear before attempting to start dialouge again)

I tried leaving it, making dinner and then coming back, but still no help.

Finally decided making a private world and everything went smoothly (no pause at all.)
