What do normies spend their caps on?

When money becomes useless, everything you can do to make money becomes pointless.

With that in mind, I have to practically race at times to get rid of all of my caps because I'm always so close to the 40,000 limit and I don't want this game to become pointless.

So I'm wondering if I'm not spending my caps right or something. What should people be dumping their caps into?

I've got all the mutation recipes. Now I buy junk in bulk when I'm near the 40k cap. Or I'll visit forums and buy rare weapons/crafting plans/flux in bulk. Flux seems to be an acceptable alternative good for trading it seems, so I'll always dump caps into that if I'm looking to unload.

Buy the mutation recipes you need/want from the Enclave. Once you get all that, start looking through players' vending machines for plans you may not know, especially ones from seasonal events ie Meat Week, Fasnacht, Treasure Hunter, etc. If you find it very easy to get caps, and you happen to have Fallout 1st, then start buying the bulk junk from train station vendors and store them in your scrapbox.

Fusion cores. Sometimes on ultracite ammo that I use. If im nearing the cap, im looking for high valued or pricy weapons, Like bloodied explosive. Sometimes i buy plans, sometimes they cost 40k caps, and I buy then anyways they get mad and block me.

I try to spread the wealth by dropping big purchases on player vendors. The mutation recipes from The Enclave are a good way to spend caps quickly, as is the once-per-week gold bullion purchase from Smiley, though I guess that one leads to the next problem of what to do when you're near the gold limit... I'm not there yet, though, so I keep up with the grind-and-spend.

A secondary one is buying bulk items to bulk craft legendary items for that godroll. That's what I'm trying to do now with secret service armor - I'm halfway through upgrading my Aristocrat's armor for a Vanguard set. Legendary modules are my limiter here, though.

I try to keep as many caps as possible, just under the limit because pieces of my PA are based on the amount of caps I have.
