Until your an explosive's specialist (level 5), stick to what you found in the field ... . Can be really fun with all the explosive/grenade perk cards but nothing if you compare it to the "orbital strike" ones ... ! For me, mainly use MIRV and orbital strike ones ... .

I rarely see players use grenades, at least in events, but I find them quite useful in my solo travels. Both the Nuka and the Nuka-Q grenades do a good job for me. I've got the Santatron collecting holiday gifts right now, but once that's over it's back to the Nuka collectron, which makes crafting these way too easy.

MIRVs are the best. Back when, explosives perk would give you a one hit kill on as many Players were in radius. Only times poor Mac was actually accused of cheating... In adventure, pop on your super duper and they're much easier/cheaper to produce. The nuka grenades are really just pretty. If you like things that go splodey, that is.
