How does a lunchbox work?
The Wiki says: When used, lunchboxes provide a 'Very Well Rested' bonus, a +25% XP bonus, along with a random "party favor" social effect in a small radius, with effects lasting for 60 minutes and 15 seconds. The 'Very Well Rested' bonus can stack up to four times at any given time, increasing the overall bonus of the individual effect, up to a maximum +100% XP bonus. Receiving additional buffs will refresh the duration.

But when I look at my stats at this moment, I have the Noisemaker effect (from a lunchbox) that will last another 24 minutes, and I have a Well Rested Bonus of XP +25% which will last another 44 minutes.

So where does the difference come from? I mean: I have popped the lunchbox 24 minutes ago, because it had the Noisemaker effect, which is visible with 24 minutes in my Stats. And I also have the XP+25 effect at the moment, which is the other effect of a lunchbox, right? So where does the difference with 44 minutes XP+25 come from?

you need to open 4 to get the +100% xp bonus
Phantom Dec 25, 2021 @ 6:29pm
You get 25% exp (up to 100%) per lunchbox opened
you also get a random buff from the lunchbox list (like your noisemaker one)

Lunch box openings can affect up to 24 (32?) players whatever the server cap is at a time, you just need to be within ~10m from the guy opening it

Most of us long timers have essentially infinite gold (as we have nothing left to spend it on) and thus infinite lunchbox uses (cause its all that left worth buying)

Each lunchbox has its own timer, so if you opened one waiting until only had 2 minutes left and opened a second, you'd have 50% for 2 minutes then 25% for the next 58

also at 100% opening a new one only replaces the cooldown on the shortest one left

Yes I know. But if I have opened 1 lunchbox which gives me +25% xp and which will last 24 minutes (which I see in my stats: Noisemaker), why does my Well Rested Bonus last 44 minutes?

Sounds like a bug to me.

If you only opened the one lunchbox then the timer for the XP buff and the minor effect should be the same and not so wildly different.

Ah, so that's where I have to spend my gold bullion! Lol, didn't know that long timers do that. :)

Okay. I think I understand. But it don't understand why I only have 24 minutes Noisemaker left (from opening the lunchbox 24 minutes ago, I guess) and 44 minutes of Well Rested Bonus left, but no other random buff which could explain the difference.

I've just logged in again, a half hour later, and I still see the difference.

Is it possible you were at a public event and somebody else popped a lunch box?

Yes, that's possible. I was at Rad Rumble, where many others opened a lunchbox. So if others pop a lunchbox, I get (maybe?) only the +XP effect and not the extra buff? And therefore I see only the Noisemaker effect (from my own opened lunchbox) in my stats?

And how much +XP do you actually get when someone else opens a lunchbox?

But if other lunchboxes were opened by other players you should see more than 1 minor effects and more than +25% xp. They will work the same as the ones you open.

Seems more likely that the game had a bug and the one lunchbox you opened has different timers for some reason.

Same +25% XP per lunchbox up to a max of +100% XP. They work exactly the same as the ones you open yourself.

Okay. I'll keep an eye out to see if it happens again. Maybe there was also some time left from actual sleeping in the game, which I always do at the start of a session, but I did that more than an hour before that.

The sleeping buff is different than the lunchbox buff. You can have both at the same time.

^ This, also if i'm out of lunchbox's and for example they are popped at rr straight after I will go to Westek ect to make full use of them while they last.

But as phantom pointed out and I'm the same, to much coin, gold and treasury notes with nothing to buy.
