Nuka Cola Dark - possibly overpowered drink

Funny thing - Nuka Cola Dark is affected by both Cola Nut and Party Girl perks at the same time. Unfortunately, effects are multipled separately(otherwise it would be ridiculous), but you still get +6 strength and +6 endurance at the cost of just 1 perception with this drink and possibly risk of addiction.

It's nice but not really overpowered, especially since there's no way of extending the duration like you can with chems(Chem Fiend and BioCommMesh), and Whiskey gives a similar boost with just Party Boy/Girl.

Would honestly prefer Sugar-Free Nukashine to be craftable

I find it weird, that there is exactly 1 drink, that is considered both Nuka-Cola and alcohol to be buffed by both. And even obtaining it's recipe is random.

Nukashine isn't affected by alcohol or Nuka-Cola perks, however.
And Whiskey does give you 6 STR, but it doesn't give you 6 END.

Wonder which one of those I shall mass produce for sale.

i remember dark (recipe) being very sought after back in the day
it might still be

i've got more of a problem with the more exotic recipes
some of these feel too much of a hassle to brew for the effects they promise
eg tick blood tequila requiring crimson flux, the disease aspect is a nice touch tho

i'm just saying the ones that are supposed to be of rarer variety feel less powerful
EDIT: and dark just drops via the nukatron so yeah, even easier
white russian requires 1 canned coffee and that frankly destroys any Dude-roleplaying lol

Again though, chems with Chem Fiend and BioCommMesh can achieve higher numbers for a longer duration, and even without the perk boosts Sugar-Free Nukashine is a better overall buff, especially with the various nerfs to melee/unarmed damage over the years.

While the extra endurance is nice, it's another stat with a formula which suffers diminishing returns, so there are better boosts to your health pool as well.

To clarify this a bit better:

6 Endurance is +30 HP.

Cola Nut and Chem Fiend are both Endurance Perks. Generally speaking, Endurance is the least useful stat, so even if you did have 2 extra points for Cola Nut, you'd pick Life Giver since it's permanent vs Nuka Cola Dark's temp buff.

Psychobuff with Chem Fiend and BioCommMesh is 7.5 Minutes of 40% Melee Damage and +80 HP. You can still pop that Whiskey for another 30% Melee damage.

Whiskey has a low amount of buff time, but it only takes Corn and Razorgrain to make, which are found in massive amounts around the Silva Farmstead, so it's trivial to craft compared to Nuka Cola Dark.

Now it's possible you'd have enough Endurance to pick Cola Nut on top of Life Giver and Chem Fiend, but that's a crazy amount of HP at the expensive of everything else.

Unfortunately I never had nukatron bringing me dark cola, at least before I had recipe unlocked. To make dark cola you need 2 regular colas, which are common from nukatron.

i'm wrong
i confused it with nuka wild, which drops via nukatron

i think you can just buy them at the whitesprings too
