Combat armor mod vendors?

is there anywhere i can buy combat armor mods or plans? ive tried the enclave and various train station vendors with no luck.

The BoS Vendor in Watoga or in Whitespring should have some.

The Responder's vendor bot, in the Toxic Valley/Grafton have some mods, too ... .

Kill the BoS initiates at the checkpoint near the Waywood. Take their armour and scrap it at the Overseers camp. Server hop and repeat.

You can get a lot of mod plans unlocked, some crafting materials, and some armour/underarmour to wear. The BoS have a purpose in Appalachia after all.

heh..thanks for the tip mooman..ill give that a shot. To be specific im after the deeppocketed mod for the combat armor right arm...everything else i have has it but that piece.

Armour has a lower learn chance then weapons and gets worse when you have only a few mods left.

The game doesn't re-roll if you learn a known mod. It can take hundreds of scraps to get them all. Plus there are some that can only be learnt from plans.

It really is a trial of perseverance.

Armor has the same low chance to drop a plan from scrapping as the Radium rifle. Not sure if this is 100% true but it sure feels like it.
