So now the quest update says to go to one of the silos, and also mentions the launch codes.
I got all three codes from that website, which of course the game doesn't know. So I was guessing before launching the first time, I have to collect four launch code pieces at four random locations?
Huh? That's crazy- You don't need to collect anything, except for a Nuclear Card. Maybe you've got a bug... Try going to another silo; maybe someone recently launched a nuke from a silo and it's not letting you in.
Each silo has a 3 hour cooldown before it can launch again. If you can’t get in, it’s either you aren’t a general, or a nuke was launched recently from that silo. You can always go to a different one that isn’t cooling down, or server hop until you find a reset silo.
In addition to each silo having a 3 hour cooldown, there is a personal cooldown per player character. You have to wait 3 hours before you can launch from that specific silo, even if you are on a server where it is available to others. The annoying thing is there is no way to see the personal timer. You just have to remember the last time you nuked today from that silo,
Tried another site, Bravo I think, and it turned out to be a bunker with an elevator, which I was able to use. I got fried trying to fix the reactor pipes, but at least I got in.
The other two sites I tried were porto potties, with an elevator button inside.
So I don't know if these were genuine silo entrances or not.
The Missile Silo Status Holotape was all zeros.
There is a bug that places the quest marker at the exit points instead of the entrances. The out houses are the exit elevators.
Also, if you need any help launching the nuke feel free to let us know!
Ha that explains it.
