Entering a Silo
Working towards launching a nuke(I Am Become Death), reached the point of entering one of the silos. But when I press the elevator button at what I presume is the entrance, nothing happens. Do I have to collect four pieces of launch code first?

Are you cleared to launch a nuke in the first place? You must be a General in the Enclave and have listened to MODUS' explanation about nukes before you can even enter a silo. While you're being briefed on the nuke process by MODUS up in the Command Area of the Whitespring Bunker, check out the terminals on the far side, with the workbenches, to get schematics for the Prototype X-01 Power Armor.

Well I'm a General, and have those schematics. The last thing I did was go to the secret base under Mama Dolce's, and get the info from the wall terminal .

So now the quest update says to go to one of the silos, and also mentions the launch codes.
I got all three codes from that website, which of course the game doesn't know. So I was guessing before launching the first time, I have to collect four launch code pieces at four random locations?

Huh? That's crazy- You don't need to collect anything, except for a Nuclear Card. Maybe you've got a bug... Try going to another silo; maybe someone recently launched a nuke from a silo and it's not letting you in.

Check your Missile Silo Status Holotape .

Each silo has a 3 hour cooldown before it can launch again. If you can’t get in, it’s either you aren’t a general, or a nuke was launched recently from that silo. You can always go to a different one that isn’t cooling down, or server hop until you find a reset silo.

In addition to each silo having a 3 hour cooldown, there is a personal cooldown per player character. You have to wait 3 hours before you can launch from that specific silo, even if you are on a server where it is available to others. The annoying thing is there is no way to see the personal timer. You just have to remember the last time you nuked today from that silo,

So I think possibly the issue was that I wasn't really at a silo the first couple of times.
Tried another site, Bravo I think, and it turned out to be a bunker with an elevator, which I was able to use. I got fried trying to fix the reactor pipes, but at least I got in.

The other two sites I tried were porto potties, with an elevator button inside.
So I don't know if these were genuine silo entrances or not.

The Missile Silo Status Holotape was all zeros.

The porto-potties are exit elevators from the silo control rooms.

There is a bug that places the quest marker at the exit points instead of the entrances. The out houses are the exit elevators.

Also, if you need any help launching the nuke feel free to let us know!
