Help with the Vox

So i've been carrying around the vox gun for like nearly two years and i have never really been able to do this mission to get rid of the vox gun and tomorrow i've decided i want to only focus on just this mission till its done and then do my dailys and anything else after. The only thing i can only get as far is the collect the vox data after shooting what ever it wanted me but i have still not figured out how to do it, even when i hit a wolf that duh goes right up to you to attack i spammed E key on it taking quite few hits till i had to end its life just trying to collect it but still do not understand what your meant to do to collect this data.


So please help me out to what i'm missing or has it just been bugging out for me. The last time i tried to do this mission was like 4 months ago when it had a nice collection to vox.

I did this one once, it was funny, but all be damned if I will ever do it again. Shooting squirrels with a synger is almost always an insta kill. If your going to do this "fun mission" remove any and all perk cards that increase the damage output. Good luck.

Umm yes i do not plan to ever do this mission ever again think lot of people don't like it lol but umm this comment doesn't really provide the help i was asking and i know all about having to restart to get a RNG roll that wouldn't be too hard to do for the mission its just the step to tick off these animals.

As far as whats its doing (not allowing you to collect) my guess is its Buggin out, shouldn't be a huge shocker, only thing I can suggest short of filling out a pointless ticket is server hope and retry.

before you do anything you need to load the vox holotape into your pip boy. otherwise you don't record anything.
then shoot the required animal with the vox syringer (make sure to have syringer ammo on you) and stay close to it to make your recordings. takes about 45 seconds and the animal will either try to run away or start searching for you to attack you.

you can use the fallout wiki to find spots with the animals you need.

do it once for the lulz and don't ever bother again. it takes a lot of time and caps (to fast travel to the animals required) and the rewards are a joke.

Because it's a Savage Divide quest it has a really small chance to award the outfit bundle, various jumpsuits and scout masks. But tbh it's more annoying with too low chance of success to bother.

Fun fact: You can shoot other players with the syringer and they will glow purple until they log out.
