Look into getting the prime version it cuts ap cost by 50%
you can stack on the other ap reduction to get it down to like 1 or 2 ap per shot
on the plus side your enclave plasma will be getting 69-300% better with the patch on the 1st as it applies the correct formula for energy weapons on damage
The mods you put on the gun will reduce AP cost to fire in VATS. Automatic reduces this by 50% and primed mod for ultracite ammo is 50% again. Fixer is pretty terrible and clumsy to use outside of VATS. In VATS and set up the right way it is a god tier gun.
Maybe the energy weapon damage fixes will restore some balance between these weapons in VATS, but i feel the fixer will still be ahead due to the tiny AP cost.
Lets me rely more on numbers than my clunky lobster claw hands for precise shooting in a frequently rubberbandy / high-latency online environment. ;)
Plenty of the game is built around VATS. Tons of perks and legendary effects to exploit to improve upon it.
QE15r railway =
I am become death, destroyer of worlds
The thing is I can clear westtek in literally minutes all i gotta do is point and kill, kill, kill, kill, kill
I only have the plan for a semi-auto prime receiver.
No. Prime receiver is for semi auto only. I was trying to find primed auto recently too and found out it does not exist. :-(
Though it is a bit different in VATS for sure. Enemies don't move away, usually, when you're using VATS in FO3. And often the shots are in slow-mo, so it seems like they're flying super fast?
Dunno!
But I don't mind the Plasma so much in FO76 at least.
He he, that takes me back to Biwwy and little lamplight all those years ago. 2008 to be exact.
Seriously hoping that the energy weapon fixes will make certain energy guns far more viable in the future. Laser rifles used to be amazing guns in previous games and in '76 they have always been extremely meh for me, even ones with great rolls. I have several with great rolls stashed away, so hoping i have done a good thing by holding onto them.
