I mean the bigger issue is they haven't done anything great and the games being given a sunset timeline
Its just seems like they port other peoples games to consoles. I wonder why Bethesda picked them.
Then there was the hiring of The Fallout London mod developer which suggests the England studio might be the one to take the main development. The leaving of high profile names from BGS Austin now make sense, the studio could loose it all.
Wait and see... no... speculate. Either way that 5 year plan could be true after all.
If PvP becomes a bigger part of the game while legacies and hacked weapons are floating about everywhere, there won't even be a point in playing the game anymore, let alone buying atoms for anything.
As it seems to be clear, BGS Austin does not have the manpower or talent to bring the game forward in any meaningful way. So, employing an outside team with some background in MMORPGs to back them up should be a good sign. If their work on FO76 will be any good remains yet to be seen.
A British game development studio who makes the console version of Rust.
