Is the T-65 power armor woth it?

I literally just built it today, full set. It looks cool, but functionally it's only barely better than the T-51 or Ultracite PA. If you don't care for the looks or min maxing, T-51 is more than enough.

I had the choice to grind for t-65 or Strangleheart and chose the latter. Still not worth it.
Honestly, Excavator will serve all your needs just as well, can help you mine ores and gives you extra carry weight.

If you want Jetpack simply go for t-51b and the only noticeable difference is slightly more radaway consumption in blast zones.

Nope. You are grinding a ton to gain very little.

Stick with T-51b.

Ultracite PA has the best damage protection in the game. It will take time getting it. When you complete the quest. It rewards you an already pre built Ultracite PA set for you. Plus the plans. It's not sexy looking but it works.

It's not even the second best in the game.

T-65 is the best.
T-51b is the second best.
Ultracite has no redeeming value. Most expensive to repair and the Calibrated Shock mod is as rare as Roc teeth.

The issue with ultracite is the same as with strangler heart - almost impossible to get calibrated shocks.

Stats wise? Yes, its the Best Power armor in the game.
Grind wise? No, not at all, unless you allready have everything for the gold you wanted, better stick to the T-51b

Not worth it at all. I had to choose what to do with my bullion. SS armour or T-65.

Considering my X-01 PA, even with me running a Bloodied build with emergency protocols on the torso and always being at less than 20% health and with supporting damage reduction perks, that I have never died when in my PA. What is the point of T-65?

I am glad I chose to grind SS armour instead. However I crafted 55 chest pieces recently in one go and only got 1 single unyielding piece and it was a 1 star.

You folks in T51 armor must have the best inventory discipline in the world, there is no way I could live with the carry weight no more than that. So far I have a set of T45, T51, Excavator and Ultracite. The only one I use is the Excavator now. I am just too lazy to prune my gear and junk back enough to use the others.

my 2h melee and my heavy weapon char both use PA, and both use T65, and specialy with the melee i see the difference in the incoming damage compared to other PA. its at least one taken Imposter Sheep melee hit more, mostly more like 2, before the sole survivor perk (at full level) must kick in.

It's expensive and requires more bullion then the cap to craft and mod.

However, at the end of the journey you will have a PA modded exactly how you want in a time frame you can predict.

If you don't have any other fully modded PA or can't afford the caps for plans/mod boxes the T-65 can be easier to assemble. It is a good goal based activity.
