Fallout 76
High FPS 60+ and nonstop Stuttering
I have buy the game today and the game gets unplayable. It's stuttering like i have extremly low fps but steam fps counter says 80-90.
I tested differend Settings from low to ultra, stuttering with every setting, only the FPS goes up with lower settings.
Then i found a loot of infos in Google and try different Settings in the playerconfig & nivida-settings = no fix! :-(

I dont understand whats the problem i have a 1080ti and have with no other games issues... im the only one with this problem?

any tips?

Tried disable vsync from nvidia control panel? Or changing ipresentinterval to 0 in fallout76prefs.ini at documents/my games/fallout76.

If you have lower fps then change to fullscreen, its on borderless window mode by default. Borderless window mode is better if you alt tab a lot and don't want to crash the game.

Did you install it on a hdd or ssd? A fast SSD may decrease stuttering while the game renders the game when you move/turn/load.
Check the bios doesn't have any game boosting on.
Set the game to fullscreen

Set the game to fullscreen
Or set it to borderless only time I had issues like this it was fullscreen when I alt tabbed, the tabed back to the game
I also have a GTX 1080 Ti. I get 70-120 FPS everywhere with zero stuttering

Make sure you are running fullscreen mode and not borderless. I had bad stuttering with borderless.

Also try turning off the ingame V-sync and frame cap with the iPresentinterval=0 setting in the ini file.

i have no space for 80gig on my ssd.
my system is good enough to run for example black desert on full ultra.

as i say, i try every setting. fullscreen/bordless also included.
the lowest fps that i get in 76 is 50 mostly it is between 80-90.

i also disable vsync no change. i found a few guides for "fallout 76 stuttering" but the dont help. i can play the game but it's not really fun. fells like i try tp play fallout 76 on a extremly low spec laptop. :-(((
Try turning off Gsync or Freesync.

And as said, check your ping in game. You have to find out, which server adresses this games is using. Maybe use TCPView or Wireshark to find out.

What is your ram config exactly. Are you using XMP? Check temperature of CPU in Game?

Is the stutter happenign every second constantly? If so, there is already a thread here an no fix ETA in sight. Started few months back. It affects mostly Win7 users and some Win10 as well.
i have a i-9 msi ace meg m/b 64gb ram 2080supermsixtrio msi 165hz monitor.
i have the same issues ive tried the vsync, ect in many ways..
you can do it in fallout settints ini's or geforce xp. or in the old school geforce settings by application.. i have found no solution so far any reccomendations?

also i found some times in a player vault i cant really move forward well..
i remembered how the old fallout games movement was somehow affected by fps
once i limited fps to around 62 i think.. now i never expeirence this problem.
i still get stuttering and when i disable fps limits i again cant move at times in the personal vaults.

any reccomendations?
yesterday i started using "fallout 76 quick configuration" tool/launcher
it allows easier editing of the ini's

please any help let me know has anyone found a solution that works for them?
also weather im playing 4k or just 1080 same results, ultra to low same results.
everyone seems to have missed the fact that ever since the patch a few months ago, those of us poor people who cant afford to upgrade our desktops to run the latest and not so gretest windows 10 have been having non stop stuttering issues that the game creators have done nothing to fix...

so...

if you are running anything lesser then windows 10 you will most likely have issues
Anything running in the background? Turn off non essential programs maybe.
this game unfortunately suffers from nonsolvable stuttering. Frame times jump skyhigh with no reason. Spend 2 weeks trying to solve it, went from bios settings, gpu driver settings through gpu MSI mode, scanline sync, framelimiters, stanby memory cleaner, different timer resolution, completely turned off win 10 hybrid fullscreen mode thus made the fullscreen exclusive, nothing helped.
