resource extractor in floor?

So I seen some people with the resource extractor inside of there floor, how does one do this?

Find a spot close to the extractor where a floor can be placed and then just add floors. I'm not sure if it's certain camp spots or the collision mesh of the extractor, but sometimes it can take some tries to find the right starting place for the first floor that will let you cover all of the extractor.
It's also possible to cover the extractor in just two floor pieces (with some fiddling sometimes) and get them placed so the system will allow you to add walls around the extractor. You can make a nice little shed for it that way.

Not quite sure, but on this camp I think I started with the floor piece under the generators:
