For The New Players
Easiest Way to Farm Scrap,

For those new to the game trying to find the easiest way to farm scrap. Save up 500 atoms or buy them so you can unlock the Scrap Bot from the in game shop. This will make it open for all characters on your account. Then put one in your base & any workshops you take (pvp) which will make more scrap. You can save scrap this way because you don't need to make all the other resources to farm the nodes in a workshop unless you just want to. If you have paid membership even better because now you can go into your private world & take as many shops as you want & put your scrap bots in them. You wont need to lock them in a private world like you would in public & there is no one to kill you to take the workshops from you like they can in open public worlds. There are lots of ways to get scrap but this is the easiest. The Scrap Bot is well worth the money or the time spent making atoms in game if you plan to play long term.

Building Bases,

Now for a while I was confused about how to help other players build in their camps because after they added public groups to the game it removed that option or so I thought. Instead you need to just invite someone to a group with you with you not in a public group. Add this person to your friends & then they can build things in your camps for you. Keeping in mind some things can not be build by other players in your camp from the in game shop. I would guess this is to cut down on the empty pockets on Bethesda's end. Either way some things can still be build though which you have not yet got plans for like the Rad Shower which is a plan dropped by the "Scorchbeast Queen" or bought or traded from other players. I often times when I am bored of someone is nice to me will help new players build their base, then they can move things around. Its great because all those hours I spent hording junk into my unlimited scrap bin get used.

Easy Food,

Once you hit level 32 you can get the "Starched Genes" perk card which will allow for you to keep the mutations you want, and not loose them or gain others while its in play. There are two mutations you can choose from with food if you do go with a mutated build which I always do.

1). Carnivore - No disease from Meat & 2x bonuses to food from eating meat. So if you eat anything other then meat you have no gains for it. Tatos, Carrots, Razorgrain, Melons, etc wont raise your health if you have this mutation.

2). Herbivore - Vegetables provide 2x benefit & no disease. Eating meats does nothing for you if you have this mutation.

You can only have one at a time active. Removing your starched genes card in perks will allow for mutations to be removed. You can chance at random which will be removed by using rad away while your perk is not active. You can also walk threw a rad shower & if your lucky it wont remove them all.

If you become a vegan then you can farm things like Razorgrain & Corn down around Billings Homestead which is a workshop that can be taken over but you do not need to take it to get the food. Also if you go down by the river side there you will be able to collect dirty water from the stream & boil it at the cooking station there also making it very easy. You will of course need some wood to both boil water, and cook your soups. Soups are nice because they fill both your Food & Water.

Both Meats & Veggies have their advantages so you will need to decide which works best for you.

A must have for new players or anyone wanting to plan their builds for sharing or whatever,

The above link is a free site & service which is very useful! You can choose your perks as well as legendary perks, mutations, addictions, etc to best get an idea of what damage you will do, etc. Its a very good tool to have & use.

If you get the main one like I did & buy the others you can switch between what it collects for you. I am mainly melee builds so don't use much ammo + its easily farmed in Daily Ops if you use a melee build to farm the ammo. Either way to each their own I'd much rather have the scrap myself.

Legndary Perk: Ammo Factory - Level 1 50% ammo created in crafting, level 2 75% more ammo crafted, level 3 100% more ammo crafted, level 4 150% more ammo crafted.

Then you have the normal perk Ammo Smith under Agility level 1 40% more crafted, level 2 80% more crafted ammo. With those two perks alone you can make quite a bit more ammo pretty easily & farming cans & weights to break down will give you quite a bit of lead for rounds.

Then there is the other perk under Luck Super Duper which at level 1 gives you a 10% chance to get double what your crafting, level 2 20%, level 3 30%.

Then under luck there is the perk Scrounger which gives you a 40% chance to find more ammo in ammo containers, at level 2 60%, and level 3 80%.

So there are a lot of ways to farm ammo without needing to wait forever for your scrap bot to farm ammo or having to convert ammo, or even using the ammo making machine but in that case that makes more sense as thats its only purpose.

No hate just a heads up if your that hard up for ammo.

I loot everything & often times will leave thousands of rounds of different types of ammo in a random container for someone to find.

I'm in the 4 digits

ammo is scarce when you are new, going ammo crafting only makes your life much harder when you are new

ammo sells for caps fairly easily when you are early midgame, caps are painful to get early midgame you blow through them so fast

ammo weighs nothing early endgame on, so its never bad to horde
ammo makes one of the best gifts to give to low players when you are at endgame... passively making thousands of (random) ammo when I return to my camp gives me a huge pile that I can just dump on lowbies as a gift

I really do not get why players have such a hard time looking for or crafting ammo seriously its not that hard. There are a few locations in game to which you can loot weights one of which is inside the Firehouse where you start Fire Breathers quest line. Those scrap into lead. You can farm robots in Watuga they also sometimes are loot-able for lead after you kill them or near where you start. There is so many ways to easily get lead at any level. I suck at this game & its easy for me should be for everyone else. But I don't waste my time with it anymore because unlike you I don't have luck selling ammo anymore so for me its just a waste of time & scrap as I can just as easily sell the lead for 10-15 caps & people buy them pretty fast like that if they really need them & are to lazy or just don't have time to farm it themselves.

For the new players, the most useful tip in the whole game:

Don't turn in 100 ore in Radiation Rumble.

Also, don't start the event until it has 30 seconds or less left on the pre-event timer.

You'll earn smiles and hearts instead of angry faces and blocks.

Thank you.

Oh, and lastly, bring a low damage, high tagging capacity weapon, such as a tesla rifle, combat shotguns to that event, so you gan tag enemies. You don't need to kill them to get the EXP, just hit them.

Keep in mind Radiation Rumble is the event the whole server is waiting for to pop up. Don't be the one that screws it up for everyone. I know you can be shy but feel free to ask before acting.

Once again, thank you.
