Give candy Challenge - Really HURTS
The number of people stopping by to get candy is really LOW. I have tried 3 different camp locations, and have spent the last 3 hours waiting for people to get candy. This really hurts, because I can't play anything else, I just have to wait and search for friends to ask to come get candy. **************** BAD BAD BAD design Bethesda **************

I am not sure why people are having problems giving out candy now. Sure the first day it took 4 hours to give out 5 pieces and I visited more than ten other camps to help them out. My camp is not on mainstreet with no events or daily activities nearby but now I give out 5 pieces an hour. My cap account is down over 6000 because I have keep running to the store.

I do feel the noobs are having a bit of a problem because people (like me) like going to camps where the player is higher level and might have something good to sell in their vending machine. Once they get their five candies they are done. I make it a point to check all the low level camps usually in the forest area or nearby on a couple of servers before I end the day now.

Happy Halloween

I think I'm probably the last camp people check (when they've found empty bowls all around, or not been able to find the bowls at all) since I'm down near the Hotdog place in the Forest and there's not really anything interesting nearby, and the closest free fast travel point is Vault 76, but I haven't had problems either. Though, if I were only able to play an hour or two a day, things would likely get iffy; it's not fast.

I've only just reached level 45 on this character, so I mostly only have meds, a few plans, and some apparel in my vendor. It's clearly a new player vendor when you look at it in the map, so I doubt that attracts anybody, save, possibly, for those who're desperate to get the pirate costume (and I have had a few of those).

Funny, though. I've had a lot of thumbs up from visitors. I'm not sure if it's just because I have candy and the bowl is easy to find.
(I've also been given around 300 plans by visitors, especially those who bought the pirate costume. I don't know if they were just that happy to find it or if my camp really looks that pathetic.... It is pretty simple, to be fair, because I've found barely any furniture plans or anything fancy).

Because it is entirely dependant on which server you are on and who is on that server and if they even know or care about the event, or have already done their 5 pickups and don't care to do any more that day.

its a failed experiment, the reward needs to be score at least, too many players are sitting on stacks of carry weight boosters and or lunchboxes because theve been giving them out for free daily, so theres no incentive to spend the amount of time, effort, and loading screens to travel around to about 10 camps to get 5 candy after spending either caps to travel or switching teams and servers, and to do this every day
But isn't the reward of others taking candy, SCORE, an incentive to take from others too? Isn't this a question of symmetry and expectation (and brain)?

If it's not an experiment, perhaps it's a piece of art?

Exactly, I get rewarded for taking candy. You get rewarded when I take candy. It's perfectly aligned.

Now I logged on before work this morning, visited 7 camps and got 5 pieces of candy.

1 camp the bowl was empty.
1 camp I spent 5 minutes looking and could not find the bowl. Beautifully themed halloween camp and yet the bowl can't be found.

Let's ask this way: If you want 250 SCORE for others taking candy from your camp, what is your conclusion about visiting other camps?

It's just random as to how many people keep their bowls stocked and how many people roam to get candy. I've had slow nights and quick ones but staying on long enough always gets me to 5. Joining a casual team seems to be the best - your teammates will fast-travel because it's free so that's 3/5 right off the bat. And, if you stay on for 2-3 hours a night, slow rotation of people quitting and new people joining makes it pretty likely you'll get to 5 just from teammates.

And then of course there are the few people who seem to just roam for candy. I know I personally make a point of it - everyone wants the reward, so I do my part for them and trust it'll come back somehow.

easy enough to go on the mic and ask if any of these kind strangers can do yours

how I did them within about 10 minutes each day (log on, daily ops, script, sell, and the candy)

I'm giving a reason, why it's not necessary to give SCORE for the other part of the equation, because letting others take without taking from others yourself does not work, conceptually. Have you understood the point i am trying to make?

If you want the score from the one challenge, you'll have to visit other camps, otherwise the thing doesn't really work. You can argue, that if others visiit others camps, you wouldn't need to, but that's where the experiment comes in. So far my camp got visited often enough, for one data point.

I think for the amount of Candy you can farm, and cost to buy, 5 was asking to much. Since its a Free Weekend right now new players cannot afford to buy the candy or Teleport around to Camps. I know for us longer players this isnt an issue, but they should have taken new players into account with the Event. I think 3 tops would have been best.
