Stimpack farming
Ive tried several internet vids and so far the areas around vault 76 were removed when NPCs moved into Appalachia

What are peoples doing now to farm stimpacks?
Is there an area that has a lot of aid containers? I have the 80% perk for extra meds.

thank you

Daily ops do reward you a lot with stimpak, also use the perk First Aid (in Intelligence) to save even more stimpak as well.

stimpaks are everywhere. and as said daily ops the loot piles often contain stims or diluteds.
so if 'farming them" every where you go find the containers that hold them , morgantown airport to start then morgantown itself has many and there are interiors and roof tops as well as the university and its basement... but best of all is getting the plans to make them yourself and gathering those ingredients. advice given... i personally sell around stims for 3 caps each. many players craft them from excess junk and sell them cheap just to make a few caps managing the storage. so hit up player vendors if the map pop up shows stacks of stims.
i also use first aid... and theres a chem one that gives chance to double the results from crafting them. good luck!:104:

Man, I have the solar armor set, so I never use Stimpaks. I think I have 484 regular and 137 supers lol. Even with Chemist's backpack it's over 60 pounds of stims.

1400 caps a day from the robot vendors. you can sell almost anything to them. seriously if you goto the nearest train station. and loot it all, i mean all even the toilet paper in the bathrooms. all the glass bottles, all the junk... and then sell as much as you can to the bot.
how many ever caps you get? well theres like 9 trainstations... then theres a whole giant indoor vendor bot mall with multiple floors of stuff just laying around. and thats just where the bots live. theres whole towns full of stuff. you dont even need to kill anything if you can sneak. morgantown airport inside and outside, while full of enemies, is a SUPER loot heavy area. then you got the whole town and university and the train yard... its really one of the best places to send a while each playthru to explore. from ground to rooftops to interiors. theres a high school. and its full of plastic. honest i used to live on the outskirts of morgantown, theres multiple public events located there. and around there. trainstation of course... but the amount of enemies and places to loot are too many to list... spent an easy 30 or more levels mainly running thru morgantown and hoping the events proc;d and server hopping if they didnt.
you can max your daily caps from scavenging. but wait, thats just morgantown. there are multiple entertainment parks. power stations, smaller towns, the ash heap has multiple towns and public events underground. that whole area can be a great place for RAW minerals. which can be turned into useful ingots. big towns small towns and all kinds of places inbetween, seriously if you step back and take stock... a player could never pick up a gun and avoid events and still max out daily caps from junking around the forest.
fastest way to make caps is buying serums low and selling high maxed out i think you can get 500 caps or a bit more each many players sell them for 200 and up if you see serums for 200 buy as many as you can afford, because bot vendors will double your investment.
purified water... build water purifiers in your camp, do the work, gather the mats, and build build build, then start collecting and stockpiling this means visiting your camp to empty the purifiers regularly. once you get a stockpile start selling them to the bot vendors...

doing the main story quests, public events and daily ops is also fairly profitable if not a slower approach that has ancillary costs in chems and ammo and repairs.
daily repeatables, they are scattered all over the map. the ones at the amusement park with the robots and very easy and give fuzzy tokens... those can sell to the right player for 50 caps each i sell mine for 25 a pop and you can get like 9 a day. save up for a week and then post them in your vending machine. pleasant valley tickets also sell fast if priced right 50 a pop and i cant keep them in the machine. these are all ways a newer player can learn to survive and thrive. you can farm caps by farming. gather lots of plants. plant them in your camp, as with water purifiers, you have to concede your going to use a large portion of your topside camp budget planting a large amount of various plants. then go hunt meat, all kinds of meats, then find recipes to cook stuff from players really cheap.
complicated meals are worth more... but corn soup can add up. bonus youre also earning xp by planting and cooking. bonus 2 you can now farm adhesive as well.

and lastly but by far not nearly the end of ways... crafting weapons and armors. you need the mats first...and some plans, but as youre crafting, youre gaining xp, and depending on your characters level you can scrap what you craft to learn mods to make the craftables better. meaning you can eventually build your guns and gear as vanilla best you can.
OR you can sell what gear you craft to the bots, even street clothes plans youve learned can turn a few bits of raw cloth and adhesives plus a bit of rubber or plastic maybe a sliver of steel into a steady daily caps stream. i use halloween costumes in the dozens sometimes to whittle down the stacks int he scrap box. if youre bulking junk not used in crafting and cooking and then scrapping or selling the stuff youre also managing your storage.... and thats going to be the biggest hurdle in crafting for caps. but if you spend the time upfront stuffing the stash box with useful junk, and then constantly using the junk as well as lightly restocking from the places youve learned have the useful junk...
youre going to do fine and eventually youll be maintaining your t 65 and recon armor and your legendary weapons with all that junk and selling all the stuff from the higher end public events. radiation rumble. best. event. be on team. teammates kills equals your loot piles too. tag everything if you cant get a team... tag i mean hit or shoot as many mobs as you can. the more you tag the more piles youll loot from after the event. these piles can overburden you in no time flat, run to the benches up top and scrap the crap and go back to loot more piles. rewards vary and if theres just a couple 3 people there... its a wash as far as winning the maximum rewards and a premature failure does negate the gains. failing it is rare. good luck again !

I vendor my stimpacks for 10 caps to the NPC all the time

Your best sources are

1 - Daily ops, tons and tons of them to be had here... along with ammo... a good daily ops setup you can get dozens in the legit sub 8 min run, or if you just wanna grind thousands

2 - Quests - Lots of quests reward stimpacks, fuzzy quests are generally 10-30 for example

3 - Ghouls, often carry them. Scorched beasts often carry them. etc

I get like 20 stimpacks every daily ops run.

there is no need to "farm" stimpaks, you get drowned in them, i sell some daily to the npcs to get more carryspace again.
practical each quest/event you finish rewards you some stims, and the tons of mediboxes you can find and loot do the rest.

All I do is use a Vampire style weapon, Armor with health regen, then go out and do daily and public quests. I end up vendor selling them daily just to get rid of the excess weight. Not to mention I rarely need to carry more then 15-20 stim packs ever. Of those I barely use them. I could probably carry 5 and be totally good to go.

This is just a casual build and by no means is better than some of the sets and methods others have come up with. This is just how I do it.

'Farming' anything in this game is a fools errand driven by subconscious OCD tendencies. You don't need anything till you have a goal to reach. It is not difficult to obtain whatever you need almost as soon as you need it. I tag what I need for repairs more than anything. The developers dump resources upon us all the time. Repair kits, scrap kits are vastly too common to obtain, and using them makes raw resources meaningless. It's all Bss Ackwards in terms of what we ought to expect in a apocalyptic wasteland where survival is supposed to be a thing. Pretty sure my characters live in more wealth and comfort than anyone living beneath a poverty line.

i buy tick blood for blood packs then spam craft stimpacks with chemist and super duper.

Cannibal Perk. You get one for free with the Rose quests, even.

Just eat people. It saves on Stims.

Thank you for all your replies!

I am level 19 at the moment, and found a player selling them for 5c so i bought them all.
Now to farm creds...
