Go to "your username" / Documants / My Games / Fallout76.
Look for Fallout76Prefs
Copy the entire file and paste it into the same folder.
Rename this copy to Fallout76Custom
Then open Fallout76Custom
Make these 2 small changes to the file to increase your game performance. Look for these lines and change them to be the same as shown below.
bFull Screen=1
bBorderless=0
iPresentInterval=0
Then save the file and set it to read only in the file properties.
First setting force the game to run in fullscreen mode always which greatly helps with performance and can help eliminate stuttering in the game. The second setting unlocks the frame rate and turns off in game V-sync.
If your FPS gets too high you may need to cap the frame rate for Fallout76 in Nvidia control panel as anything above around 130 FPS can cause major issues in game. You can also turn on V-sync in Nvidia control panel if you want it. Depends on your monitor refresh rate though and you may end up getting only slightly better FPS than before, but the game should run much better at least. If you have a G-sync or Freesync GPU and monitor you can leave all V-sync settings off.
Hope this helped you.
This did it. Locked at a solid 120fps now. Thank you.
No worries, glad it helped.
